Terrible Red Beans and Rice. Purchased the Gumbo as well and it looks and tastes worse than the beans. Very disappointing! Donaldsonville location.

This place is great. The food portions were really good, the food was seasoned just right and the service was superb. I was working night shift and woke up later than expected so I called last minute to order a catered meal for 25 people and they pulled it off!! While ordering, I informed the lady that if it couldn’t be done, I would just wait until the next day being it was my fault I called so late but they went above and beyond to make it happen!! Hands down would order from here anytime!!

Delicious hamburger (also known as Salisbury) steak, pork chop, and jambalaya. I wish their sides were more varied (they were out of grilled veggies) but the rice and beans were pretty good. Bread pudding was ?

Walking in reminded me of a hospital cafeteria. Only saw one or two guest. Tv were on but very low. Order the Pastalayla for dine in. The cashier was nice. But when I my food came out, the cook had it in a to-go box then ask “are you eating here?” I felt like I was not welcome at all. I paid the dinner portion but got lunch meal. The pastalayla came with only 4 coins of sausage. Two chicken thigh which were dry. Which could have use more seasoning. No heat whatsoever. My sides were double green beans which looks like they came out of a can instead of fresh. No tomatoes, very little onions. The bacon that was mixed with green bean were slightly cook. And still needed salt. My hotel was right next door and figure I score so I won’t need to drive far. I can have what the locals have. But will be the last time I will visit this location.Dietary restrictions: Veggie Jambalaya or pasta would have sold me.

First timer. My brother rants and raves about this place so I had to try it. EXCELLENT! Very friendly and nice people working there also. A must.

I love finding spots where the locals go when traveling; this did not disappoint! I love all the YELP reviews that pointed us this way! They don't have extensive menus, but what they have hits on a whole new level. I was fortunate enough to get the last serving of Pork Roast and gravy; DAUYM yall have to get this when you stop in. It was so tender and flavorful. Sometimes places add gravy to mask something, but this enhances the protein. Now, I am NOT a fan of 95% of potato salads; they are heavy, mostly have a mustard base, and are mushy. My friends, I would come here JUST for the potato salad. It tasted like mashed potatoes, and potato salad had a baby. We ordered a second round because my kid ate most of mine.It is a counter service, and the girls that took our order recommended the potato salad, gave great recommendations, and the cook or owner told me about the Pork roast. It is off the main drive but super easy to get to; know, it is at the far end of the strip mall. It was quiet, with a few families eating.Overall, my YELP friends, next time you are on your way to NOLA, stop by and grab yourself some Pot & Paddle!!

Service was nice and punctual, food came out quick. The place was clean. It was all fresh and prices are great. The pastalaya was okay, the red beans and rice are just that, beans. And rice. No meat, no sausage, no seasoning. The gumbo looked decent, smelled like an ingredient in it was burnt and tasted like it had a hint of char too, on top of being pretty bad aside from that. I had high hopes for this place, but it wasn't anything I'd want to eat again.
