We had recently visited Poverty Point World Heritage Site and I saw this place on the maps. We like Cajun food so thought we’d give it a try. It’s a funky looking place along a delipidated street with empty buildings around it but, the people inside were very friendly and it’s obviously popular with the locals because, while we were waiting for our food, at least 6-8 people showed up to order. Most of them wanted crawfish but the owner said the delivery truck was late, so he was out and to come back in an hour. My wife ordered a Shrimp Boil (16 shrimp, 1 corn, 2 taters, 1 sausage and a drink). Very tasty food. Not too spicy. I went with Blackened Shrimp with Cajun Rice and two HUGE boudin balls. The rice had some different seasoning than I expected, having just come from the Lafayette area, but still very flavorful. Good food.

Passed through here and wanted to try! I ordered the blacked shrimp and catfish combo with dirty rice. The fish and shrimp were cooked perfectly. Sadly the rice was crunchy but flavored so good. My husband ordered fried shrimp and fries with corn nuggets. Everything was fried good. The Cajun seasoning on the fries needs to be on everything it was so good!
This was some of the best food I've ever had. My wife and I were visiting from NC and were staying nearby in Arkansas, and neither of us had ever been to Louisiana. We decided to venture off and grab something to eat. We both love fried stuff and gave Amazin Cajun a shot. This place hit the spot. I can honestly say that some of the best food I ever ate come out of the window of a single-wide trailer house in Louisiana! (I got the blackened shrimp and fish sandwich with fries and corn nuggets)
Parking: Gravel lot with enough room for 5-8 vehicles
Wheelchair accessibility: You can probably roll a wheelchair here

Prompt courteous service and most importantly EXCELLENT food! We had the special of the day, pulled pork sandwiches. Generous serving size and excellent flavor! Also had a boudin ball. Yummy!
Absolutely delish, we always take a dif route, decided on this one. We ordered the shrimp grilled and fried, price is also great. Look forward for our next trip.

Good food from a great small town life
Great food and enjoyable atmosphere.
Stopped by on road trip. Outdoor seating, friendly owners. Wide selection of food choices. Husband had shrimp an fish w/Cajun rice it was great. We also had Hot boil cornbread. I had a hamburger. Don’t judge it by the outside. Clean outside tables to eat at. Thanks
I have only tried a few menu items which was all great. The customer service is always wonderful. I would change the ranch( too watery) and the amount of oil in the tray when ordering fries and wings
Boudin balls and the remoulade sauce is a must. Anything you get here is going to be good! Great people and great food.
Amazon owners and food is great!!
