“We had recently visited Poverty Point World Heritage Site and I saw this place on the maps. We like Cajun food so thought we’d give it a try. It’s a funky looking place along a delipidated street with empty buildings around it but, the people inside were very friendly and it’s obviously popular with the locals because, while we were waiting for our food, at least 6-8 people showed up to order. Most of them wanted crawfish but the owner said the delivery truck was late, so he was out and to come back in an hour. My wife ordered a Shrimp Boil (16 shrimp, 1 corn, 2 taters, 1 sausage and a drink). Very tasty food. Not too spicy. I went with Blackened Shrimp with Cajun Rice and two HUGE boudin balls. The rice had some different seasoning than I expected, having just come from the Lafayette area, but still very flavorful. Good food.“
