Will never step foot back in this place food was good but when 6 people pay a 70 dollar tip that was added to our bill is Rediculous, , I pay a tip depending on how good service was and ate most of my meal without a drink so Ducks Nest Your Steak is one of the best I've ever eaten but I'll never be back

We eat every Thursday night at the Duck's Nest. Great food, great atmosphere, and the best customer service. The best place to eat.

We had over a dozen people in our party and we were seated and accommodated in no time. Our drink orders taken as well as appetizers then our meals. The place was busy and our waitress was hustling hard. But it all worked out just fine.
The food was delicious with generous portions and everyone went home satisfied and most with left overs.
From the shrimp to fish and seafood platters, steaks to hamburgers: everyone was happy with the meals and the service.
Missed taking a photo of the front of the place but did capture the outside seating and pier.

This is one of those restaurants that you run across from time to time that are just FANTASTIC! It is NOT a restaurant that is in FERRIDAY, LA, since FERRIDAY doesn't have any really good restaurants. But, it is located close to Ferriday, LA. About 7 miles East on LA Hwy 568 on Lake St. John! A TRUE DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH! They are only open 5 days a week and then only from 5 to 9 pm. Get there early as the line starts to form before 5 pm. The Menu is excellent, prices with the exception of Steaks are reasonable! The Food is outstanding in all aspects. The service is Also EXCELLENT! My Wife had the Blackened Red Fish and I had the Fried Shrimp Platter or rather the JUMBO Shrimp Platter. Plan on taking food home as they give you plenty! They have a Full Bar as well for your Libations! You will Not be disappointed!

Worth the drive, great food! We all had seafood but everything they served looked great. Servers work well as a team so food was prompt. We thinking best to go early, looks like they get busy fast

Absolutely the best place to eat on Lake Saint John. The kids love eating legs, be they frog, crab or other. If they are legs, the kids will eat them and Duck's Nest II has legs.

Food was nothing special. Nothing had any salt and I don't like salt. Lol. Bread pudding was delicious.

4 stars only bc the huge crab claws that i wanted to eat so badly share the same grease as the fish and I'm severely allergic to fish. The service- A1! My daughters and I surprised my parents during their anniversary dinner date... the hostess (for sneaking us to my parents) and the servers (i dont recall their names but they were helpful in getting our order and tickets together with my sneakiness and Ashley specifically for our family picture and her hospitality)! The oysters were huge and tasty, the bacon-wrapped fried shrimp looked amazing (couldn't eat them but my daughters said they were delicious) and the boiled shrimp... chef's kiss! We will definitely stop by when we're back in town!! Thank you to everyone we came in contact with who made our evening full of happiness!!

This is the finest eating we have in the Miss-Lou. From seafood to steak, it just doesn’t get better than this. Try it for yourself don’t just take my word for it!
