The food is excellent. I had the large fried catfish and the meal. The mozzarella sticks, mushrooms, and Cajun Queso as appetizers was great. The Martini drinks are the bomb.
I brought my Mom in for a birthday dinner! The wonderful Bartenders Arlene and Rebekah were not only attentive but extremely pleasant!! Our Server Olivia did a fantastic job of making sure our group was taken care of! Kudos to these ladies for ensuring that I make a special point to come back and visit from Atlanta!!
It was soooo evident that they are prejudice!!! Omg 6 people and a baby but they say they count the baby for gratuity huh3 adults1 13 year oldA 1 year oldAnd a 10 month old!! It's almost as if they train them to be prejudice... didn't even offer us hush puppies but I overheard them telling the other 2 tables (lighter people) i asked for my reciept she replied i pressed no i didn't think you wanted it. so I will not be returning.One and done!!!
So tonight I experienced racism at the DUCKS nest I will not be returning back I will love to speak the the owner. The waitress said it

So happy we found out about this place. Beautiful scenery. Amazing waitress! ( wish I had got her name she needs a raise! Lives near restaurant is all I know) then there was the food. We had a beef filet and a ribeye. It was as good if not better than Ruth Chris steaks!! With a much better atmosphere! Ty to the best waitress!
Dietary restrictions: I let the waitress know I had celiac disease. She gave the attention needed to make sure my food was safe to eat!
I was very impressed with this place. It has been a long time since I had been to Lake Saint John but I will have to go here more often. This place is a Hidden gem.

Literally the BEST steaks within an 80 mile radius. Always cooked to perfection! Service is always A1 and you can not the beat that lakeside view! Will dine here again and again!!!!
