Had the Monday daily special. Fried pork chops and red beans. The plate was overflowing with goodness. There were 3 pieces of pork chops Fried to perfection. The red beans covered the bottom of the plate. The seasoning was perfect and beans were cooked to my likings. Have been here passing through a few times now and will definitely keep stopping here for lunch.

They treat you like family and feed you the same. It's home cooking, not processed foods

A really nice place to stop and get bite, and unwind for lunch. The service is good and the food is great. You won't be disappointed.

We waited one hour for two poboys and a fried fish plate. They forgot our fries on one of the orders. A couple walked out while we were eating and commented on how long they had to wait for their food. Another couple arrived an hour and 15 minutes before the restaurant’s 3 o’clock closing time and were told they were closed, presumably because they could not be sure to get their food to the couple before 3:00. Aside from the ridiculous wait time, the poboys were subpar. Do not waste your time or money eating here, go to another restaurant.

Passed through Folsom for the 1st time on way back from Covington. Folsom reminded us of a tourist town. So neat! Ate at Gus's restaurant. Only a few patrons seated when we arrived. Within a few minutes the place was packed!!! You KNOW if locals pack in the place at meal time it's a good place to eat. We had the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich/fries and the daily special Chicken Fried Steak, dirty rice and green beans. Everything was excellent! Food was brought out fairly quickly considering the number of patrons. Everyone's plate looked good that passed by our table.

Classic louisiana. Everyone was super friendly and accommodating. Aaron bussed our table, and this child was on the ball! Our food was late, but delivered hot and fresh and with huge apologies and a big slice of lemon meringue pie.

Parking: Lot was full on Saturday, but still had a few spaces.

Kid-friendliness: Very accommodating.

Wheelchair accessibility: Easy to maneuver. Bathrooms may be tight, but doable.
