The sushi was fresh, delicious, and had lots of fish— sometimes places give you a 2:1 rice to fish ratio, not here. The shrimp tempura in our roll was made to order and was the best ST roll we’ve had in a long time. But the real star was the service— Bella took great care of us! She was warm, attentive, friendly, and helpful with answering some questions we had about menu items. We look forward to coming back!

Just tried this place for the first time. The service and the food was really good. We've been hesitant to try this place because it always looks empty, but I think it's because of the parking situation. We saw a good amount of people come in while there. Will definitely return!

We absolutely love the Franklinton roll and usually get atleast 2 everytime we order. We do dine in and carry out but usually prefer carry out only because we have 3 children. Everything is always fresh and hot. We will always recommend Akita!

While the portions are big and inside is clean, food is super bland. I upgraded to the fried rice for my bento box and asked for no egg. It was only rice. Friend rice at least has onions, peas, and carrots. I'll stick to my Japanese food in Chicago. Food here was amerizanized to the max in terms of flavour and execution.

Wanted a quick pickup dinner and swing by right before they closed up, so not much to say for the interior, but it was nice. Favorite was the Pretty Girl sushi roll, will definitely get it again! The hibachi steak and shrimp with fried rice was also good. Clear soup was good, but a little strong on the anise.. Definitely a good spot to tryout.
