Came here because they had good reviews.
I did not share their opinion.
The fries were good but the shrimp were way over seasoned. Not sure if it's luckily or unlucky but for $20 I only got 6 shrimp and fries.
This is a place you go up to order and pay them sit down. The girl up front was quick to point out a tip on the card machine which lead me to believe there would be some sort of table service.
Nope. Not only was there no service, I had to get up and get my own napkins and ketchup. I don't have a problem with that but don't ask me for a tip and then do absolutely nothing for it.

I ordered a catfish basket from Red Brick Cafe out of Franklinton, La and while eating, I noticed something felt mushy in my mouth. When I looked closer, I realized the fish was pink inside and clearly undercooked. I checked another piece, and it was the same way. I called the restaurant and spoke politely with a lady to let her know my fish wasn’t fully cooked. She apologized and offered to remake the meal or make me something else, but I kindly declined and asked for a refund instead. She then told me they don’t give refunds. At this point, I just want to warn others to be cautious when ordering from Red Brick Café. Unfortunately, a coworker had already warned me about this place, but I decided to give it a try anyway—guess I should’ve listened! 😭😭 CC for pictures

Love the atmosphere in Red Brick Café; it's always been one of it's best qualities. Every dish I've tried is great, but my fave is the Grilled Shrimp (Spinach) wrap- I just keep coming back for it. My husband loves the spaghetti plate, which a large portion. We're never disappointed.

$$$ High dollar breakfast for what it was.

The red brick Café has incredible food. It is cooked to order and is very satisfying. They have a broad menu displayed on a chalkboard that features what's available. The follow-through is amazing. And it is delicious!!

No breakfast or brunch at this place that advertises as brunch. I asked for coffee and the young man at the register said “we might have coffee”. So… after he checked… he said we’re out. I took it as a sign he will not make more coffee at this “brunch” place and we left.

Had coffee and 3 egg omelette. Have to say, was the best omelette I've had. Christian atmosphere, still had Christmas stuff up, so I gave 4 stars for atmosphere. Plan to visit again sometime to try the lunch menu.

Great little cafe in the Town of Franklinton! Nice size portions and seasoned well. If you're in Franklinton give them a try, you'll be happy you did!

Came here to eat some breakfast. Admittedly haven’t been in a couple years, and last time it was more of a coffee shop. There was like 5 things on the menu, nbd but that was it. I thought they used to have coffee so asked for a coffee menu, lady ringing us up said they didn’t. Then I noticed they had two coffee pots, so kinda confused on why those weren’t offered, but whatever. Then they had a sign clear as day that said Arnold Palmer for 3.95. My girlfriend said she wanted that the girl said they didn’t have it. Not we are out just we don’t got that, weird cause your sign says ya do but whatever. Then I pay for our meal was 18.25, I gave her a $20, now I already planned to tip her plus use the change with that to tip cause I’m a decent guy regardless of the circumstances, but she just asked if I wanted the receipt I said no, then she closed the drawer. Okay so I guess my 1.75 change isn’t coming back into my hands, I mean I was gonna give it to her regardless but seems a little shady to me. Then they are out of avocado, the lady comes to tell
Us, my gf starts to say well what about what we paid for it, cause it cost a dollar for a slice of avocado for some reason, I stopped her and said don’t worry about it cause its a dollar. One of
The other ladies was nice enough to come over and say do you want bacon instead at least. Then there was a guy in there, I know it’s super Christian place, I curse a lot when I talk my bad, kept staring at us. Grow up who cares. Then they bought us our food gave my gf a sprite, that was hot so the nicer lady offered to bring a cup of ice, she did but when my gf poured the sprite in there she noticed the cup had like dirt and hair in it. Pretty gross. Then they didn’t even bring us like utensils to eat with the food i just had to stand up and happen to notice there was plastic forks in a certain area. Also the baked goods looked gross like they had mold on them. Real shitty experience tbh. Won’t be back.

If I could rate service a negative I would this owner is so disrespectful & rude when speaking to customers because they didn’t cook the fish properly. Selling raw fish is unethical and unacceptable. After the waitress said “oh that’s not done“ the owner walks over picks up the plate slams it down and says “I don’t care who you are, that fish is done.” Up until that point I was calm. Once she spoke to me in a condescending tone I all but lost my temper. How dare you treat paying customers this way! Because we don’t look or speak a certain way you act this way. After reading several comments on a post made on Facebook about the incident I learned she’s treated quite a few people this way. One mother commented that her daughter got food poisoning. Which I can see why her child got sick they sell raw food. Salmonella is real and dangerous. To blatantly blame a customer for not ordering a blackened fish well done is absurd. Hence the point of blackened. This is typical behavior of you’re not a regular. If you don’t look like a upper class you will be treated like trash if you complain.

Passing through town at noon and Google for places to eat in Franklinton Louisiana. We liked the “name” so we stopped. It is a quaint little café in downtown and the food was absolutely delicious. I will visit again when in the area.

Judging by the reviews this place should have been great. The service was so poor that we didn't even get to order before the employee that was supposed to be serving us disappeared. The other employees didn't even speak to us. We went to Pizza Pete's. It was a much better experience.
