The Forge Bar and Grill

I frequent this place a lot and visited today for lunch. Ordered the special, grilled cheese and veggie soup. The soup was so salty that the salt coated your throat (no exaggeration). I locked eyes with an older lady and she asked, “is your soup super salty?” I told her yes. My buddy ordered the same thing as me and couldn’t eat the soup for the same reason. I went to the front counter to inform the young lady and was told to go to the back to speak with Mindy (guessing a manager). I let Mindy know. Nothing was done to rectify the issue—I took it as, they didn’t care. I wouldn’t patronize The Forge again. I feel if a small complaint such as that was not addressed, I feel a bigger one would be swept under the rug and not addressed. Prior to leaving, an older gentleman tried his soup and yelled, “ Do we have any salt? Just playing. Don’t need it—it’s in the soup!” And they were still pushing out the salt soup as I was leaving.

I ordered Bacon Cheeseburger with Sweet Potato Fries and a Tall Glass of Modelo...
I wanted to get a Modelo Negro, but they had run out..My Burger bun was soggy with grease and was missing Bacon and the server went to the kitchen to get a couple slices of Bacon for me. The same missing Bacon problem happened last year when I came here but I couldn't complain because I'd have to get in line (behind 5 people waiting to order) to talk to the server and I'd have cold food..I chose to eat the burger while it was warm...

Good place to host a luncheon or dinner.

Nice atmosphere, decent food, unbeatable prices. Golf course is fine too, though I am terrible at golf.

For walking in with a group of 30 unannounced the service was amazing and the food came out quick hot and fresh. The place was clean and had a simple easy menu and they did not hold back on the sides.

When in for lunch. Club sandwich was good. They did not have a lot of options in the menu. It’s what you would expect from an on post golf facility.

The Forge burger was great, gumbo just a little underseasoned, fries were great. Had to wait a bit, but I'm sure just because it was the lunch rush. For the price? An absolute steal. Will return.

Have always enjoyed the food and atmosphere at this place, and service was top notch this time as well. Recommend if you haven't tried The Forge, give them a chance - they won't disappoint!!

The staff was awesome... very friendly and helpful....foods great..... and best of all....the BEER was ice cold !!!!
