We visited from kilgore tx and would go back just to eat here. The food is amazing and the staff just as good. The red beans and rice are to die for and they accommodated us in giving us to go containers for 4 meals of red beans and rice w to take home which were even better two days later.

Food was good - service was not. We waited 10 minutes for a server to come to our table and finally had to go to the counter to one. Our order took over a half hour to come our table. You had better reserve 1.5 hours if you want to eat here.

Limited menu but lunch specials were pretty good. Options were fried pork chop and hamburger steak, pork chop was better. Service was really good. Wouldn't drive to Gibsland just to eat here but would return if in the area.

The pot roast was amazing, extremely tender, and very hot. Real mashed potatoes the way they are meant to be.The Cherry Crunch was great and would have been even better if we had vanilla ice cream handy. Great service with a smile.
