This is an awesome place on 171 south of Shreveport going to Grand Cane. This is an exceptional stop on Highway 171, just south of Shreveport en route to Grand Cane. As someone who travels frequently for work in the transmission and oil/gas industries, I can confidently say this place is a standout. It’s the ideal spot to take a break and recharge. I highly recommend stopping by—you won't be disappointed!
They have the best king cakes! They homemade everything. They have fresh bread, cookies, and so much more. The chicken salad is super good.
My husband bought a pralines and cream king cake, and it was the absolute best king cake we’ve ever had! Absolute perfection, and I consider myself a king cake expert lol. I will only get king cakes from Sunrise from now on! Super sweet people too!!
Horrible customer service from the (older guy) everyone else is nice.. He threw my card on the counter rather than handing it BACK to me and that’s just not how you conduct business.
More of a take out place, but the people arw great and the food is excellent!

Im from New Orleans, and every i am always looking for good king cakes. This place can hold there own in the king cake department.I also noticed the serve other items also, the guy in front of me was getting a cup of potato salad. i was on a king cake mission, so i had to pass this time. It was a 30 min drive from shreveport. I showed up 10 min before they closed and normally when its that close to close at some places you know they are about to do so by the interactions you just get that look. While i waited to check out i observed them acting like they had all day. One of the owners was giving the fedex guy directions and threw him a cookie on his way out the door.Every guest in front of me was treated with the type of service you would expect out of a small business. They acted like they had known everyone for years, including myself, and it was my first time there. I recommend the kingcakes i received a regular and a cream cheese.the regular was great, the cream cheese was a little heavy for me cause i like to eat big pieces. nothing a smaller piece can't fix.?

I've never had a king cake I thoroughly enjoyed until I ordered from Sunrise. Also, their lunch special sandwiches are very good as well. I also like their desserts, particularly the snickerdoodle cookies.

I just love this place! Yesterday it was almost closing time and I was in the area. I called Ms. Felicia and asked if she had a loaf of her Jalapeño cheese bread and she said she had one loaf left! I told her I wanted it and a cup of her chicken salad. I was on my way! She said I’ll slice it up and have it ready. She is the sweetest! OMG her homemade bread and chicken salad is the best! And her and her husband are the sweetest most Christian people. If you have tried them stop by! Her homemade bread is soooo good. I don’t like chicken salad! But I love hers!
Stopped in for a sweet treat on the way out of town and got way more than the coconut pecan cookies and ice cold Sioux City cream soda I bargained for. Ended up chatting with the owner Felicia for a good long while about this crazy world we live in, found her a fine interlocutor to hop into enjoyable conversation with. She was also kind enough to give me a cream-filled freebie for the road—be wearing some of that there sweetness in my beard for six weeks or so.If you’re looking for a great little bakery to get some homemade goodies or (I’m told) world class King Cake, pay sweet Felicia & Co. a visit. I think she may be looking for an assistant or apprentice, too, which could prove a most delicious opportunity to learn a trade and make some dough.
