Not being locals, we've gotten a couple sideways looks when we've walked in, but at least the looks turn into smiles, that turn into conversations! The island locals are super friendly & know that we're there to have a good time just as they are! We've met new friends each time we've been this summer...& I believe they're getting used to seeing us around :) Service is always sweet, beer is always cold...& I will try one of those fruit...
Lovely folks here. Lots of cold beverages. I’m a contractor with the Corp of Engineers so I’ve stopped by from time to time. I do worry about the rising waters. Our directives are to avoid saying “climate change” which is strange because you’d have to be a blind dingo in the Australian outback not to see what’s happening. So “paroxysmal climatic perturbation” is what it’s being called now. Maybe with a new boss in DC science and politics can part ways. Otherwise...
