From such an unassuming place this was the absolute best food I had my whole road trip. You won't really have a place to sit and it's inside a gas station store but let me tell you...the Boudin Balls with cheese were freakin amazing. The chicken cracklins were like crack for my kids. The meat pies were great. The chicken tenders were amazing too. It was all so good, even my kids who are picky were in love. The dips were so good with it too. I just can't say enough GO TRY THIS. And the employees were all super friendly and helpful. So glad we went out of our way to stop and try this!

Super late on the review but finally found the paper with the name. The ladies here took care of me. I love Cajun food and it was my first time in LA. They let me try a bunch of things and I left with 2 bags worth of food. Great food, great service, great prices. Idk when I’ll be in the area again but I’ll definitely be back. My favorite was the boudin balls and the crawfish pie.

Bayou Boudin, prepare to be sick of me! I just got a job nearby this gas station and my coworkers joke that they have everything.. and they do! Not only that, but the fresh, hot food offered inside by Bayou Boudin is phenomenal. I have been greeted by Tracey and Jay who are so friendly and helpful. I wasn't going to get anything today, but meat pies sounded too good. So, I went to the counter to make my first Bayou Boudin purchase. Well today was my lucky day because I was offered samples of red beans, crawfish queso w cracklins (chicharrones), pepper jack boudin balls, and the chicken cracklin bites with drizzled sauce. All of it was delicious. I love that they have special sauces to go with it all. Plenty of gas stations in LA have fried food, but this is worth getting next time you’re around downtown hammond. They have a couple high-top tables for waiting or seating as well. I can't wait to try the seasoned fries next time.
