I usually go through the week but decided to go on a Sunday huge mistake. I ordered 2 cheeseburgers combo, guy who took my order said 5 minutes I waited for 20 minutes inside. They had only one person inside, trash was over flowing which was the first thing I saw since I had to wait so long. They was not busy at all . Then when I finally get my burgers OMG!!! Sloppy made and had a weird taste. The only thing was good was the fries and I had to tell them too cook them hard because they be so soggy!!! I don’t know who cooked on Sundays but this was awful and the inside was so nasty. Then the waitress right up front wiping the trays with a spray bottle and towels, but the lobby area looking a hot mess. I’m definitely not going back this was so nasty (food, service, and lobby) I miss the old cooks and older people working the front.

Chicken tenders were very good and service was super fast and courteous. Other food items were not very good, like roast beef poboy and pork sandwich. They lacked flavor or something was off that I couldn't quite place.

An absolute Hammond staple. It should be illegal to drive through Hammond without picking up some Hi-Ho to go!

I was recommended to come and try the beef. It was much better than the other location. The service is exponentially better than the other location. I was happy that they had root beer in a bottle.

This place is historical. The legendary Hi Ho Barbecue. If you’re from out of town or have never been here. This place CB is famous for their one of a kind, irresistible and uniquely delicious barbecue sandwiches. Pork or beef.

Their sloppy. You’ll need a lot of napkins. But their secret sauce has a taste that cannot be duplicated. Those of us who’ve frequented this gem. Which has been around around 70 yrs will always smile when you mention “Hi Ho Barbecue “.

It’s a tiny restaurant but big enough for families.

Remember their specialty is the barbecue sandwich and it’s worth a visit!
