Jacques Milan is located and what I would describe as a historic residential building. Really interesting and cool place. The menu would be decidedly European with a bit of a Louisiana Flair to it. Steaks shrimp a variety of seafood dishes. Everything came out wonderfully prepared and plated. The drinks were top notch. Service was excellent and I would definitely go back one of the best places to eat in Hammond!

Food was delicious and service was great. The boudin balls were tasty and I don't usually like that. I'd have them again along with the deviled eggs. We went to Jacmel for steak night. Temperature of steak was perfect. We can't wait to go back. I also enjoyed my Jacmel Cosmopolitan.
Great evening, marvelous atmosphere, food and service!

Jennifer was awesome! The food matched her service level! Can't beat the ambiance of Jacmel Inn! All done in a timely manner in the most pleasant attitude I have experienced in a good while. We are going back on 9/3/24 for my 77th birthday! Can't wait!
Food was good but overpriced. $20 for French toast? Our big problem was that their Sunday brunch menu not only did not match their online menu, but it was very limited. My wife is gluten intolerant, and the only thing on the menu she could eat was a steak. She had checked online to be sure she had options, but none of the ones she found were available when we got there. If we had not been meeting another couple there, we would have left once we saw the menu.
We've eaten here many times. Last night was just ok. Prices increased and the portions decreased. Our gnocchi was a little burnt on one side. I do like it crisp but this was a little burnt. Drinks were great. Services was also great! Liz is awesome. FYI side of asparagus $8 for 2 spears. I think we need to venture out!
Amazing location and tremendous food! We had a very large party this week, and we actually booked the entire upstairs. These guys rocked it! The ambiance is historic and comfy. The service was beyond great. Seriously, I can not boast enough about how quick and attentive these folks were. My apologies to management, as I didn't get their names (fell free to contact me I you'd like to know which party, but I'm sure that you know). The food was absolutely delicious, even with a short list of entrees( as coordinated for our dinner), everything was terrific. Steaks, fish, and chicken...oh and the bread pudding, wow, just over the top.

Something's changed here... the restaurant was basically empty on a Saturday night. Food was a 50/50. Filets were great. Shrimp and redfish were almost not edible. Not our usual great experience.
We ordered a bottle of wine. After 15 minutes the server came back and apologized for the wait. She said the bartender thought we ordered a glass and not a bottle. 10 minutes later, the server came back and said they were out of that particular bottle. The menu has changed and they no longer serve bread and salad with your meal. Our steak was cooked perfectly and the gnocchi was good(a little salty). They did not have ingredients to make an old fashion. However, they did offer a brown butter (not sure if this is the correct name) old fashion which was fantastic. Our server,Liz, handled it all very professionally and apologized for all the “no” she had to say to us.
The new menu is fabulous! From the carpaccio and grilled shrimp to the ceviche and stuffed mushrooms, everyone in our group was raving about the new taste sensations! Creative and delicious, the dishes and plating were delightful. Kudos to the Jacmel team on the success of the new menu.
Expensive meal was subpar. The expensive Jacmel Burger was a not so special burger as it had been in the past. The kitchen meal prep time was unacceptably prolonged. I cancelled dessert because of the delay. For years, my wife and I have chosen Jacmel as our go-to Sunday brunch restaurant; but will consider other options in the future.
Food was very tasty but the time between ordering and eating was excessive. The waitress visited multiple times but the kitchen was obviously underperforming. Food priced reasonably but drinks are grossly overpriced. Will likely return but may try a less crowded night.
