Kyoto Sushi & Hibachi

Love the cowboy roll absolutely delicious. It had seared steak and sliced jalapeño on top.the best sushi I ever had.

Kind of an unassuming place but the food was excellent and fairly priced. We'll be back for sure.

Kyoto is amazing. We sat at the sushi bar and watch preparing the food while waiting. The food was really delicious and good quality. We got a few hand rolls and I loved some of their unique items like yellowtail jalopeno. The chicken katsu was amazing - great sauce, chicken was nice and crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. Our waitress gave us good recommendations and even noted the cooked items for my friend who doesn't like raw dishes. It's a small place but yummy food and nice people.

I don’t know about their hibachi, but I ordered 3 basic rolls (the same ones we order at any sushi restaurant) the chicken udon and seaweed salad.

Everything tasted awful; they covered the sushi in a weird watery pink sauce that made it inedible, the seaweed salad was just wrong and the udon looked anemic and bland. We couldn’t eat any of it and tossed it all in the trash.

The service was friendly and quick though.

I’ve heard so many good things about Kyoto Sushi & Hibachi from people around me, and I finally got to try it today — and wow, it did not disappoint! Actually went a bit beyond my expectations.

I got the hibachi chicken to-go — all white meat, super tender, and seasoned just right. The veggies were soft, juicy, and full of flavor. The fried rice (with a little egg mixed in) was awesome too.
Oh, and the portions? Huge! Totally worth the price.
I’m definitely coming back! Highly recommend！

What a great decision. First time going here and the experience was wonderful. The people were friendly and we were seated right away. Warm staff. Clean bathroom.
Now to the food, we ordered edamame for our appetizer and for the main course steak& scallops hibachi and lobster hibachi. This was started off with a delicious miso soup & salad with ginger dressing. Main course was cooked to perfection! For dessert we had fried Oreo. Which was a spectacular and delicious ending to a wonderful meal. We will return.

Their menu offers a diverse selection of dishes, such as sushis, sashimi, rolls, bento boxes, hibachi, katsu, appetizers, and yaki soba& udon or. Additionally, they offer lunch special (open-2:00) everyday. My friend and me ordered their sashimi, sushi, tempura, and rolls. We really enjoyed the chef’s special rolls, the amazing salmon roll, and the pink lady special roll. The interior of the restaurant is clean and tidy. The servers were attentive and friendly. This is a great spot to grab a bite or enjoy lunch meal and catch up with friends, and definitely to-go orders too!

The rolls were not properly rolled and lacked rice so nothing stayed together it was late so maybe resources had ran out it’s definitely not my favorite and would not return the only thing that was good was the plain iceberg lettuce, the ginger dressing didn’t even taste like authentic Japanese ginger dressing

We ordered a bunch of sushi so that can be put in a boat and it was absolutely amazing! Every piece of sashimi was incredibly fresh, beautifully sliced, and melted in the mouth—especially the salmon and tuna. The sushi rolls were flavorful and well-balanced, with just the right amount of sauce that didn’t overpower the taste of the fresh ingredients.

Sushi chef is also the owner .The staff were also very friendly and attentive, which made the whole dining experience even better.

Highly recommend this place to any sushi lover. Definitely coming back again!

Good, good food. Great little sushi place in small city Hammond, LA. Personal favorites include the Crunchy Shrimp Roll, Steak Hibachi dinner, and I adore their clear soup!

I don't know how I missed this little gem but I'm happy we decided to stop here for lunch. The service here is excellent. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive. The food was awesome! We will definitely return next time we're in town.
