Everything about Luma is intentional and beautiful and delicious. I go out of my way to come here. It’s definitely a popular place and gets busy at peak times, but it’s worth just popping in. I like coffee but I’m more of a tea person and I usually find myself wanting to come to Luma for a nicely crafted tea to drink. Great staff, great menu, great atmosphere!

Met some friends here who had just moved toHammond. We had just gotten back from a trip to Europe so still on a cappuccino kick. But we also wanted to try the cure. This was such a unique and yummy drink! Wish we'd gotten two of them. It had espresso, oat milk, heavy cream, honey and vanilla shaken over ice, strained, topped with freshly ground nutmeg and local bee pollen. Yummers, can't wait to be passing through Hammond again!

Berry and Cream ToastIt’s not just beautiful on the outside. Every piece of this dish that seems so simple… a brioche slice so sweet and soft but toasted so adds just a little crunch, the fresh cream melts in your mouth, it adds such a decadence to this seemingly simple dish. The berry adds a tart and succulent bite surprising your tastebuds in the best way. The drizzle of Honey giving you another wave of a slightly sweeten surprise acclaim its presence be known. Then you realize it’s not over. There’s one perfectly thought out piece of this design left. A mizzle (it’s a word look it up)of mint. Suddenly you get butterflies in your stomach and you realizing someone has created and commonsensical work of art. So enchanting to look at so exciting to consume! Once again, well done Luma Coffee Roasters

Luma has a great ambience and it is truly a lovely little place in downtown Hammond. However, every single time we come to Luma the coffee comes out lukewarm. Every time! Thankfully, I feel like this could be an easy fix if someone were to look into it.

Extremely cute and cozy coffee shop. A great selection of specialty coffees. Pricey, but that's to be expected. A great place to take a break from the noise outside.Parking: It's on a stretch of high street so there's no dedicated parking lot. There's some street parking and a handful of free lots nearby, but you'll have to walk to get here no matter what.

I love the physical atmosphere and the staff are really nice. But the coffee isn't great and the chai is bad. Go for the tea or matcha.Also, I get the sense the workers aren't treated the best by the owners.The place is also a hotspot for evangelical Christian group meetups, which becomes distracting and loud.Otherwise, it's a great place to study/work.
