Pathetic service and out of stock on all ice cream deserts. No wonder customers are abandoning McDonalds

I recently stopped by the McDonald’s on SW Railroad Avenue in Hammond, and overall, I had a very solid experience. It’s a convenient location, right off the main road, with easy access and plenty of parking—even during busy times. The restaurant was clean inside and out, which is always appreciated when you're grabbing a quick bite.
The staff were friendly and worked efficiently to get orders out quickly. I placed a mobile order through the app and opted for curbside pickup. Within just a few minutes, an employee brought out my order with a smile and confirmed everything before handing it over. Everything was accurate, fresh, and warm—my fries were crisp, my burger was hot, and the drink was properly filled and sealed.
Inside, the dining area was well-maintained, and the restrooms were cleaner than I expected for a fast-food spot. I saw several employees wiping down tables and checking on customers, which made the place feel well-managed.
My only minor complaint is that the drive-thru line can get a bit long at peak hours, but the staff seems to handle the rush fairly well.
Overall, this McDonald’s delivers exactly what you expect—and maybe a little better than most. I’d definitely return

Absolutely horrible service! I placed a mobile order and when I pulled up to the speaker an automated voice asks if I have a mobile order. I say yes multiple times while it is raining sideways in my car and get no response. I decide to go inside instead of letting my car get soaked where I stood next to a man who waited almost 10 minutes for some ketchup. Simply because nobody cared to ask what he needed as we both stood at the counter. Just absolutely horrible service everyone moving like snails with no care in the world. There are much better locations in Hammond to try!!!!

It has been years since I've dined in at a McDonald's. Unfortunately after so long it was a huge disappointment. I had to ask why my frappe didn't have whipped cream only to be told after the fact that they were out.... would've been nice to have been informed when I got my order. We looked for a clean booth but quickly realized that even if the dining area was mainly empty we would have to clean off a table and the booth/chairs. Once I started going through my family's meals I realized we were missing an order to so I went back to counter to inquire about it. Once I received the missing item we we realized we didn't get any ketchup or sufficient syrup for each order of pancakes. So I made 2 more additional trips to the counter... It was honestly humiliating have to go back so many time. I started to feel needy when that should've been provided or even offered. The employees didn't seem welcoming or even sympathetic about the service not being fulfilled. I had went back to the counter one last time to get more napkins but at that point I felt uncomfortable waiting and was getting frustrated with the overall experience... The floors had so much condensation that the wet floor signs don't do it justice. Its a lawsuit waiting to happen.... I have been working in custom service for over a decade and know how to interpret services provided and I can say with 100% confidence that their wasn't any willingness to make my experience better.

I'm very disappointed with the service and they were very disrespectful. the bathrooms were disgusting, had trash everywhere, and no toilet paper. Everytime we went and asked something they were very unwilling to help which is the opposite of good customer service. also to add we were the only customers in the restaurant. Find a different McDonalds if you want better service

I genuinely don’t understand why they’re so rude in the drive thru. For what reason- most likely racism. None the less, just know that if you go here they will treat you like trash.
Adding to my review:
Does the franchise owners even read the reviews. Today my food had half of an eggshell in the sandwich, a half of an eggshell , the sandwich was made wrong , the other sandwich was burnt , I genuinely don’t understand why you retain staff that clearly doesn’t care about quality or customer service.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE , you will waste your money and not get what you ordered ever and it will be a very bad service experience. They are rude and unprofessional. I’m not even from here , I travel a lot and I’ve never experienced a McDonald’s this bad before

Terrible everything. Pulled up to the window, they asked me if I was going to use the mobile app and never took my order. Two cars went through before they came back to me. Complete morons working here.
