Murphy's Seafood Restaurant

We went to the restaurant today for the first time with a group of 9 people. We had 3 children, one of whom is a special needs child. Adeline was our server. She was so helpful with our ordering and with our service. The food was exceptional. We highly recommend this restaurant, and next year, when we return, we are planning on eating there again.

Onion rings are awesome. Crawfish pasta was really good. Shrimp Po boy was okay not bad! Service is always good. Salad bar is a favorite. I do think the prices on the steaks are a little high but some of my family still gets them. They have a little bit of everything on the menu.

They sent a plain baked potatoes and 7 grilled shrimp for $13 plus tax. The shrimp looked raw in the middle. Not worth the money or the trip there especially for the treatment I received when I called to let them know. I called saying I ordered a dressed baked potato the unfriendly girl said oh yes the toppings come on the side. Um no they did not. She said ugh well you can come back up here. I’ll give you those sides. No I’m on lunch I do not want to come back nor should I have to!! If you did your job and checked to see if the order was correct you wouldn’t have to tell your customer to use their lunch to correct your mistake. I also ordered a cup of shrimp & corn chowder which was just okay. Whoever answered the phone was not nice at all. She sounded like it was a problem for me to even be bothering her with the phone call. I normally get the fried eggplant with soup or salad. I usually get lunch there a couple times a week. But that kind of service and food makes me want to NOT eat lunch there again. I paid $23.09 for a PITIFUL MEAL. I’m like the other lady said in her review. They felt robbed :( I know that feeling now!!

This was the first time eating here from out of town. It was a nice restaurant and the service was good. The food tasted fine, but it wasn't a 5-star lunch. I had a salad and friend shrimp and oysters. My wife had spaghetti with eggplant that she only ate a few bites of. She said she wouldn't order that again. It was an ok meal, but not a restaurant I would return to. The side salad with home aid itialian dressing was delicious.

I'm from the Hammond area and had never been to Murphy's. We waited 45 minutes for our food (only 3 people). When we finally received our food, I ordered the Kate's Talipia and it tasted like a Gordon's frozen meal. I had to choke it down with lots of tea. The redeeming quality is that I left being well hydrated. My wife leaned over and said, "now you know why I never recommended Murphy's." But I had never been. There seems to be a reason.

Ordered the grilled Salmon with green beans and it was one of the best dishes I’ve had. Perfectly cooked and customer service is very attentive to our needs.

I was with a group on a limited menu so I didn’t order everything I wanted. But from what I had and others enjoyment the food was great! I had the grilled catfish w shrimp plate. Comes with a baked potato. They don’t season the outside and the toppings come on the side. That was odd for me.My team leader recommends the spaghetti and meatballs.Everyone’s fried dish looked great. They said it was seasoned. Fish on the thin side and good tartar sauce.
