Great experience and the waiter was very attentive. Went on a weekend and it wasn't overly saturated with people. The prices are good and they had a few options for specials whish is always nice!

Will be happy to return again.

The Cinnamon scented candle was a little Overpowering. Small containers for ketchup, & the tiniest amount of butter & sour cream I've ever had on a baked potato. French Onion Soup would have made the meal perfect. Filet melted in your mouth! Salad really needs help though. Mushrooms, sautéed would have also made the meal better. Mushroom soup was fairly good. Baked potato was the softest I have had at a restaurant in a very long time! Also had to ask for salt & pepper, ketchup, & butter & sour cream. Once we got our food, the Waier disappeared

Food was not great and definitely not worth the price. The steaks, while tender, didn’t taste very good and had the weirdest texture I’ve ever had from a filet. The taste of them was as if they had put absolutely nothing on them and then charred the hell out of them. The only taste I got was the “grill” char marks -which I can only imagine they made with a metal bar they heated up and pressed on it to give the impression they use a grill.

The Dakota in Covington is just a little more pricey but overall cost/what you get is infinitely better.

Drinks were just okay. Old fashioned comes with maraschino cherries normally and they up-charge $1 to put lux cherries in it. So your $14 drink becomes a $15 drink when you can spend $12 down the road for a much better tasting old fashioned at RW&B.

Cheesy broccoli came out undercooked and just had bagged shredded cheese on top for quite the up-charge to add it as a side.

Mostly empty restaurant with a 13 top in the back - took us (2 people) an hour waiting to even order and another 40 minutes for the food just for it to come out not great. Luckily I was given a $100 gift card so I only spent $118 when it was all said and done.

I don’t know why people rave about this place.

The Steakhouse is the ultimate dining experience in Hammond. Impeccable service, atmosphere, and Omg the food! My fiancé always gets the filet, I get the crab cakes. His steak is always perfect, medium, medium. The crabcakes are like no others here on the Northshore. They remind me of home in NOLA. My grandmother worked at a crab processing factory and knew exactly how to make the perfect crab cakes. The Steakhouse uses LA seafood & the crabcakes are loaded with white lump crabmeat just as my grandmother did. The steakhouse atmosphere is really nice, almost romantic. Definitely recommend for adults. We go once a month to dine here and have always had an excellent experience. Ooh and I almost forgot their bread pudding is to die for too! Reserve your table for hardly any wait. I have to say only thing is I would not bring my kids here. They much rather be home eating frozen pizza, so why waste the $ on them now, save it because once they find out what they been missing you will have to bring them along too! lol

Wonderful steaks, atmosphere, and service! We drove from Baton Rouge for a nice meal, and the meal was amazing! Our 6 ounce filet was the best I have ever had! Cooked perfectly medium rare.

We’ve been going to The SteakHouse for the past 5 years.
I don’t know what happened with the service and atmosphere, but it has extremely gotten worse.

The last 3 visits were terrible. The food has always been good, that isn’t the problem here.
The issue is with service, management, and atmosphere.

The last visit we had was on December 31st, 2024.
We made it our yearly treat to celebrate New Years with a good expensive meal.

Never again will we eat at an establishment that will give reserved tables away that were booked a week in advance and receive subpar service for a $250 bill for 2 people.

How the evening went:
We arrived 10 minutes before our reservation. We were greeted with a friendly smile by the hostess.

We gave the name for the reservation. (we knew exactly what table we reserved)
The hostess goes to sit us at the table (which had a reserved sign on it.) As we approach the table, the hostess stops and apologizes after realizing someone had recently been sat at our reserved section. They were sipping on wine. No food yet, so this meant they had recently sat down.

She then cleans off a different table in the corner behind the bar next to our reserved table.

I let it slide without making a complaint. I could tell the hostess was just as surprised as us.

We sit at the table for approximately 14 minutes before our server shows up with 2 waters.

This server was also serving the customers who took our reserved tables (their section). She completely ignores us the entire dining experience. Only stopping by a total of 3 times.(To get us some alcohol, appetizers, and main course)

On multiple occasions, not only did the server go up to this “VIP” table, so did the management, asking how their evening is going.
It doesn’t take a genius to figure out this couple was a “special” guest and was given our reserved table. (Probably a management decision I’m sure). Management probably told the server to also cater to them over other tables.

I know they did not spend more than we did given the choice of wine and entrees. They might have spent $120 at max.

I tipped the server $50 (even though they did not deserve it)

They won’t get my business ever again.

You don’t give away someone’s reserved table and then ignore them. It’s bad business.

I will NOT recommend this restaurant any longer to friends, family, and colleagues.

Crab stuffed mushrooms and Petite Filet were exceptional

Summer Day

If I could give zero stars I would. Very unprofessional. Waited for a table for 45 mins a couple who walked in at 803 who did not have a reservation were CALLED back at 814 to a table. It was my husband, myself and our 5 year old. Will not be back and will not recommend. Not only that they did not take our name or number like the couple after us. We waited inside. Absolutely mind blowing.
