Ms. Shirley and her team were amazing and so professional. We had our wedding this March 2022 and all of my guests are still raving about how delicious the food was. She was prompt with all of her responses and such a sweet person. I planned my entire wedding from out of state and was honestly nervous to pick all of my vendors since I had no way of meeting them face to face first. I must say that I was nervous for nothing when it came to this company! 10/10 and will definitely be recommending this wonderful establishment to others. I just want to say thanks to Cafe Orleans Catering for an outstanding job! I wouldn't call myself a bridezilla, but planning a wedding in 3 months was not an easy thing to do. With all the restrictions in place due to Covid and me being a perfectionist, I was a little stressed out. Well long story short all I can say is thank you God! The staff was very professional and polite. I am still receiving phone calls and texts about the food. I never got a chance to do a tasting before my event, but as promised on the website I had a tasteful event. The food was seasoned to perfection! Both my husband and I (especially my husband, lol he ate 3 plates of hot food so it had to have been good), we really enjoyed the recommended menu. I just wanted a hot dinner style meal with a few appetizers and a dessert option. Yes, Ms. Shirley did her thing! I booked for 200 guests and I can ensure you that was not the amount of food the was brought to be my event. Guests were given 1 piece of chicken among other extremely small servings. I believe this was because my event was NOT catered for 200 guests.Other complaints I received: the dirty rice was "spoiled" and all of food was lukewarm/cold.The owner had every excuse in the book regarding why my guests were not telling the truth vs accepting ownership.This was our wedding day and I am extremely hurt and disappointed. NEVER AGAIN.

My wedding had to be postponed due to COVID, and since I was from Canada, the likelihood I would come to the States for my future wedding date was unlikely. Shirley was so understanding and communicative, I'll never forget the way she treated me in comparison to some of the other vendors we worked with. It was an incredibly tumultuous and financially excruciating experience for business owners (particularly in hospitality), yet Shirley still treated me like a very valued customer despite it all. I am so grateful, and I really hope that I'll be able to come back to NOLA and have Shirley cater a big dinner when we get there.A wedding day is pretty important - if you want vendors who really take this to heart, Shirley and her team are the ones to work with.
