This man took my money && gave me a styrofoam top layer for my wedding cake. When I messaged him about it because we were hoping to celebrate our one year, he tells me to come and get it because he was supposed to give me the correct layer the night of my wedding. My parents proceed to drive an hour out at the time of his request and he’s not even “in town”. Just don’t even!

I ordered a cake for my son's first birthday and I must say that I am disappointed. Upon receiving my order I thought the cake looked nice, but after getting the cake home I realized there were some major imperfections and that the cake was poorly made. And after eating the cake at the party, the taste of the cake was just okay. It was not spectacular. Let's just say I've had way better. The cupcakes that I purchased were poorly packaged in an oversize cake box and after driving they slid into one another and were ruined. After my husband called to inform them of the poor packaging they seemed to kind of laugh off the mistake and were reluctant to correct it. Needless to say I will not be using this place again and I would not recommend this place to anyone that I know.

Just a quick review on customer service!Contacted this place via email inquiring about a private party the response time was over three days. Being that it is the holiday I figured that they would be closed. After the response back I still had additional questions so I replied back to the email. It’s been 6 days with no reply to my questions. I finally decided to text the phone number attached to the social media page to ask about a specific date and someone responded “we booked”. I think as place of business if you are stating to text a number you should offer people a better response to text. Something like “I am so sorry that date is not available if you like to schedule a different date we would be happy to assist you would sound more professional than just “we booked! Taking my coins elsewhere! You should never have to reach out to a business this many times to spend your money. I have heard good things about this place but my experience with customer service was disappointing.

Not to be mean and disrespectful, but this company cannot be a miracle worker. If you couldn't afford the cake, don't go in those people shop and then make crazy accusations about their products. I think everything from the business and employees will never disappoint you. The customer service is outstanding, those young men have you wanting to buy the entire store out.. I do and will continue to buy from this business and I will continue to tell every and anyone if you are going to New Orleans make sure you go to Harahan for some sweets from Chosen Cakes and Catering. I live in Oklahoma but I travel a lot and that is one of my favorite states. Don't let misable people deter you from tasting one of the Southern most best cakes and catering.

In the early stages of wedding planning, I ran into a lady who recently ordered her daughter's wedding cake from Chosen Cakes and it was beautiful. I had a small wedding and was looking for a two tiered white cake with a few hand piped flowers that were fall colors. The cake was incredible. The buttercream icing was perfection... not overly sweet, and they even delivered it to the venue. Chosen Cakes definitely knows a thing or two about cakes and their decorating skills are superb!
