The best gluten free restaurant I have been to. The waiter even offered to fry the brussels sprouts in a separate pan to avoid cross-contamination. They were excellent! The shrimp and crab meat pasta was exceptional as well! We will be back!

The food is exceptional! I am gluten-free and they have tons of gluten-free options and will even fry your gluten-free items in a separate fryer. The spinach salad, the fried brussels sprouts and the crab and shrimp pasta were amazing! The staff was super friendly and helpful, and we will be back again soon!

The pizza was pretty good, crispy crust and fresh toppings. Soft shell crab was delightful. I also enjoyed the calamari very much. The atmosphere was nice and the staff were welcoming. Overall a good place for a casual delicious meal.

We had pizza that was burned, top and bottom. Also, we had handmade Fettuccine Alfredo topped with chicken; I give that a 3.75. We were asked if there was something they could do about the pizza, but we declined to accept anything. I have a rule that when I complain, it's for the restaurant to do better. Im not looking for something for nothing!

(Becka's husband) As a New Orleans native visiting family, I tried Oak Oven on a local's recommendation. The homemade bread, reminiscent of sourdough, was fantastic with the complimentary olive oil and rosemary dip. We ordered salads and soups. My father loved the cauliflower soup, but I found the pepper jelly spinach salad to be the best I've ever tasted—highly recommend it! For the main course, I had the special: soft shell crab with crawfish sauce and a crab cake with remoulade. Outstanding! It should be a permanent menu item. After such a meal, I couldn't resist trying my wife's dessert, the crema bruciata with homemade pistachio almond gelato—unbelievable. The entire experience was incredible; I'm surprised there isn't a line out the door. It's that good! Fellas, take your ladies here!

The pizza was very good. Service excellent. It is a little loud in the dining room. Not sure there is anything they can do about it.

The food was absolutely outstanding at Oak Oven. The warm bread with a dipping sauce was delicious. We shared calamari and the peaches and burrata salad. Then we shared what might have been the best ever veal piccata. The Boen wine was super flavorful. We were catching up with friends we hadn’t seen in about 5 years and before we knew it, 3 1/2 hours passed. They could have rushed us out the door, but they weren’t overly busy so they let us visit. It was a great evening.

This is some of the best food I have ever had. We always do takeout and get pizza which is always incredible. Tonight we chose to dine in. Reservation is HIGHLY recommended but we didn’t have one. They were so accommodating and even checking on us while we waited for a table. It was only a 15 min wait. The food…the atmosphere…the staff. Everything is top notch and I can’t believe this is right here in Harahan. Caneloni with soft shell crab (special) and veal parmigiana pictured.
