I ordered a baked potato with the "pulled pork" the potato was not soft and fluffy, still a bit hard and chunky. The meat, supposedly, pulled pork was clumps of meat still connected with fat a gristle. Very bland, with only the flavor of whatever sauce was on the pork.
I would not recommend this place to anyone.
I really wanted to try it, sorry thst I wasted my money.
For the order of potato and sandwich of the same gross fatty pork. $30 I will never get back.

My guy and I decided to come there last Sunday. This was both of our 1st time coming. When we walked in, we saw there was a d.j. We thought, instantly, another NICE GUYS. Loud and uncomfortable. Wasn't feeling it. We waited at least 10mins for the waitress to come see us. When she came, she came with 2 shots. We declined the offer. She took out drink orders. That took about 5mins to come. We waited another 20mins and she never came back so we can order. We then realized, the waitress focus was the hookahs than her tables. Another reason why we decided to leave...hookahs. We did not get a good welcome when we entered, we DEFINITELY didn't get the service of ordering.

Good old soul food! I had the salmon and shrimp, and they were seasoned and cooked to perfection. The potato salad was also on point!

Omg, I had the ribs, sausage, dirty rice, and baked beans! Everything was absolutely delicious! Also, I just want to point out the decor is very fresh. I can’t wait to pop in for karaoke night or to watch the game on Sunday.

Spoiled pulled pork , you could smell it soon as you take the lid off.Kitchen staff should be In the back or out of sight when on smoke break & they need to freshen up the place.
Needs better customer service, and y’all should make sure the back is clean and organized because you can see in the window , needs so much work and it just opened

cool little place on the westbank ... great flavors on the food, but could use a bit of tweaking --- oddly enough, some items are a little too rich and flavorful. service is excellent. Drinks were fantastic.

The pork BBQ ribs were to fatty, but the smoky flavor on the ribs were good as hell tho. They don’t have brisket which is disappointing. The Mac n cheese needs to be seasoned and needs to be more cheesey and moist. If this place adds more to their menu like brisket and beef ribs, I believe this will be everybody spot to go to every day.

I'm a chef and so I can be hard to please. However I enjoyed my meal. I got the ribs with dirty rice and beans. My husband got the pulled pork with beans and macaroni. His pork had large chunks of fat in it. His macaroni had zero flavor. They were out of potato salad and the only chicken available was drumsticks which I don't care for. When I asked how the green beans are prepared she said "they are cooked". I assume that means straight out of a can. Maybe they aren't but she didn't seem to know how to answer the question. Basically some of the items were very good, others not so much, and the service could use some work. The booth seating wasn't very comfortable. I will give it another try in the future.

There are not many places on the Westbank that I know of that serve good bbq…..but if you’re looking for a good back yard style bbq joint then cafe Nola is the place for you. I had the opportunity to try their bbq ribs, chicken, and bbq shrimp and I was impressed. The meant was tender and seasoned to the bone, the bbq shrimp were delicious and comes with a few slices of po boy bread that I used to sop up all the juices and flavor. The Mac and cheese were very cheesy and good and the bbq beans had just the right amount of sweetness. So once again, if you’re looking for good back yard bbq this is the place to go on the Westbank in Harvey.

Cafe NOLA food was amazing! It’s easily one of the best spots on the Westbank. The service was outstanding, and the food was delicious. This is definitely a must-try place. My family and I will be regular customers.
