I would normally give this place a 5 but it's obvious that the owners are different, the food taste different and the amount of shrimp and meat are very small compared to the previous owners and what I'm accustomed to. I've been going here for decades but I think I'll change to empress of china. Hope they haven't changed ownership
When you first walk in, you might wonder what you’re walking into, but I have to say this is some of the best Chinese food in the city. Their crab Rangoon is easily the best, it’s just so good. Although we often do takeout, and a lot of people do which is why the front lobby area is mostly for takeout, we’ve sat in several times. We have great service when we come, we often get Miss Theresa. Great family, friendly atmosphere.
China Doll is one of my favorite spots for Chinese food! The menu has a great selection, but the star of the show for me is definitely the cho-chos. They’re flavorful, tender, and perfectly seasoned every time. The portion sizes are generous, and the service is quick and friendly. It’s a cozy spot that feels like a hidden gem.
