There was one vegan in our party. Our server was very helpful in putting together something appropriate for him to enjoy. Perino’s is a “must do” whenever we’re in the area. Everything is fresh and tasty in the traditional south Louisiana style we grew up with. Consistently delicious food with fast friendly service. Very casual and comfortable like eating’ at ya momma’s house. Fun array of eclectic knickknacks and art fill the walls.
Vegetarian options: Basic salad. Boiled potatoes and corn. Grilled and fried fish is available for pescatarians.
Parking: Tight parking when busy on Fridays. The parking area is safe
Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap parking, ramp but assistance is need to get in the door. Call the business for an employee to assist you if needed

Traveling from a few states away, and I was sooooo impressed with the service from the staff, the food, and how everything about the place made me smile. Everything was flavorful and the prices were so reasonable I wanted to order the whole menu. Will come back next time I'm in the state!

Worst crabs I’ve ever bought take out! Vey dry, claws didn’t peel. Even called ahead and requested hot boiled. Not the first time I’ve gotten previously boiled but I specifically asked! People that eat seafood frequently won’t go back if this is what you get!

The 3 stars are for the service and boiled shrimp. Our waitress and other staff were very pleasant. We ordered the catfish platter, alligator platter, boiled shrimp, and a boudin link. The boudin tasted cheaply made. The boiled shrimp was the only thing worth a star. Everything else was bland. Not even salted. High prices for very low quality food. Between the noise from the tvs and radio playing at the same time and a couple other customers, the atmosphere felt unsettling. We won't be returning.
I recently dined at Perino’s Boiling Pot and had a mixed experience. The food was enjoyable, particularly the chargrilled stuffed oysters, which were deliciously flavorful. However, I experienced significant heartburn and belly cramping afterward, likely due to the heavy use of butter. The shrimp and crabs were a bit underwhelming in terms of flavor compared to my expectations.
Additionally, the restaurant's decor was a challenge for me. As an avid animal lover, I found the taxidermy displays of apes, deer, lions, and other animals quite distressing. While hunters might appreciate the collection, I didn’t.
