There red beans are nasty , and baked chicken was unseasoned. Cornbread was pretty good. Today I tried the smothered okra with stuffed bell pepper, corn and potato salad. Okra was HORRIBLE! Bell pepper tasted very bland as if only the top layer was seasoned . Potato salad was ok.. don't get me wrong there chicken plates are good with ranch fries but as far as soul food . This is not the place they need a new cook. ??♀️ Honest opinion
Was looking forward to food based on pics. I came there and was told they didnt have a lot of food because they don't cook a lot on Saturday. Got the the gumbo, which was one of the few options and it was salty and overpriced.

Best food in Harvey hands down . The workers are very friendly always have positive energy and always clean......I gave it a full 5 stars but if it was for 1 -10 I would absolutely give it a 10!!!!!!!
I went to this establishment last year with my friend while I was visiting for Mardi Gras and the food was very good....I mean, I am giving a review a year and three months later. My friend had the stuffed peppers, and I had the catfish and gumbo, which both were great. I can't wait to visit again because this will be one of many places I'm coming to. Much love from the 757 (VA).
