There was a long hair in my food. Told server about it and she laughed.
Isn’t it a requirement that cooks wear hai nets while preparing food?
Will never eat at the PePe’s in Haughton,LA again.

Kids TV show blaring. Asked for bowl of dressing for chips 6.95 they charged. No to go cups. Place has no sign on building. Only 2 other people eating there at lunch. Big disappointment

This used to be one of our favorite places to enjoy Mexican food. We don’t know what happened after the pandemic. Today was so disappointing. Our flour tortillas were raw, which could’ve caused a bad stomach issue. The shrimp were tasteless and almost raw. Not even eat the tostada because the cheese wouldn’t melt. Weird taste to the salsa also. Spent $50 on a lunch For two. What a waste of money.

Best salsa around town. Most of the food is about as average as most Mexican restaurants, although their quesadillas are really good.

Haven’t been in a while. Almost didn’t go with recent reviews. Went anyway. Hot sauce is awesome and food was well above average. Service is ok. Lunch portions were decent size.

First, there are many good things to say about Pepe’s. Their chips and salsa are some of the best around but not as good as Ramirez or Don Juanz. Their food is usually pretty good depending on what you order, but they appear to use melted velveeta for their cheese sauce. What has become a serious issue is their dramatic price increases. They have jacked the price up astronomically on everything, especially in comparison with places like Trejo’s and Nicky’s. Trejo’s and Nicky’s food is much better, but the edge definitely goes to Pepe’s on the chips and salsa. Trejo’s definitely has the best service out of the 3. Pepe’s has now also started charging almost $2.00 for using a debit or credit card, so along with the substantial menu price increases it has become a restaurant that doesn’t offer enough in return for what it costs to eat there. I just spent $53.00 plus a tip on a lunch for me and my son. The $2.00 charge for not using cash will cost them a lot more in the long run and is a bad business practice, especially when we tip to help supplement their servers wages.

Worst food ever.. service terrible.. had to get loud just to even get service. Over priced forced tip. And they charge you to run a card. Can for the life of me understand why anyone would want to eat at this dirty little restaurant. Food made kids sick.

The service was great, and the food came out pretty quick. The restaurant itself is pretty small, but we felt comfortable enough to conversate without feeling as if our privacy was invaded. The food was good enough for another visit, but honestly, it's not the best. Overall, it's a very good restaurant, and I would definitely return to try more on their menu.

Parking: There is ample parking in the back of the building where the restaurant is actually located.
