Ole time building, and all that goes with it. Very friendly people that work there, and even the customers were so welcoming. We got to witness one of the workers grandchildren. They were so sweet, and full of energy. My wife and I love seeing the children with mom, and grandma. The food was good ole home cooking. You can't go wrong with a visit to Sissy's. If you go, slow down and enjoy.
The culture and essence of Hineston /Melder all in one place. Housed in historic building from 1880’s the food is very good as is salad bar. Seafood buffet is worth the wait. Staff are full of southern hospitality. Worth the stop!!
My wife have been eating here for years! It’s about 15 miles from my house but it’s worth the drive. The buffet food is very good , but I wish it had a few more vegetable options. I’m a diabetic and there aren’t any low carb options except boiled shrimp and salad bar. Their crawfish during season is good and reasonable priced compared to other restaurants! It’s a local gem in rural Rapides Parish!
