I have read some of the bad reviews and I have a difficult time believing them. I mean things do happen, like running out items. But not getting replacement food or refund sounds so UNLIKE this restaurant. Only twice has this restaurant giving us anything but great food and service. Once I had cold to touch boiled crawfish...told owner. He and the cook apologized and brought me fresh hot tray to replace the others. The other time, my fiancé had an overcooked steak. Again, the owner and cook apologized and the steak was replaced. They also came out and checked to see if he was satisfied. He was....delicious steak!
I notice these type of bad reviews a lot in Clinton too.
In most people's opinion...The Jackson Oaks Eatery is wonderful! I agree. Keep up the great work! Keep smiling!

(First AND LAST TRIP THERE) Management needs to learn how to run a restaurant. Let's start off with the food, average but overpriced. But that is not the reason I'm never going back, my wife and I visited this place for the first time. I ordered a hamburger and within the first couple of bites I bit down on a bone in the ground meat which chipped a tooth. I discreetly informed the manager/owner whichever he is, of me chipping a tooth, his reply was oh it had a bone in it and walked off. And I did show him the piece of bone and if that's not enough they have cameras in their restaurant. He did not offer to replace the meal which was full of bones in the ground meat, or take it off my ticket, didn't even offer to take care of our drinks which was sodas. I did take the rest of it home to give to the pets if he would have replaced it I would have gladly left it with him. All he had to do was apologize and that would have been the end of it,and I would have never wrote this review. This is not how you treat local people word gets around this little town fast. It's not my fault this restaurant has bone in their meat products . Come on man do something say I'm sorry something. Be professional Say I'm sorry you had a bad experience and we will do better next time. And that's why we will never go back. Hope my experience helps other people

The food was ok. Just not to the level I expected after the reviews I had seen. Was disappointed that the whole menu is not available on Sundays. Website does not have that on it. But given time and work, this should be a great place to eat.

Check this place OUT. Home style cooking plus fancy salads for the persnickety folks, delicious desserts and a great atmosphere. There is a beautiful outdoor seating area under a big oak tree or you can dine inside of the 100 year old building. There is live music on the weekends and game nights during the week.

Our waitress, Angela, was an absolute sweetheart and Mr Robert took the time to tell me about the building and showed me the outdoors seating and kitchen. I honestly can't wait for an excuse to eat here again.

These people are a blessing to the community of Jackson.

Parking: Parking is across the street from the restaurant. Restaurant is downstairs from the art shop.

We really love this place. The food, service, and atmosphere are all wonderful. We did have a small issue tonight but nothing that will keep us from coming back.

I’ve ordered delivery twice and have been so satisfied with my food!! Each time the driver was very sweet and made sure I had EVERYTHING. With baseball season in full swing, It’s so nice to be able to call in and have dinner delivered. One less thing I have to worry about!

My husband and I both had the Viola burger and it was amazing! Well seasoned, homemade patties and huge portions. Not dried out at all and the fries are my new favorite! The owners were welcoming and professional. We can’t wait to go back; I definitely want to try their brunch menu!

This is my second time trying this resturaunt.first time was for breakfast the second week they were o p en.i ordered a blt,it didn't have lettuce .and pancake with bacon and they didn't give syrup. This time I decided to try a fish box and it was $24.00.well the fries weren't done and I'm not sure what kind of fish it was but it didn't taste like catfish.dont want to go into more detail but they have much room for improvement,I was very disappointed.ive been wanting to take my wife to enjoy the beautiful outdoor area but I don't think that's gonna happen.too bad the food doesn't measure up.i really wanted to take my food back and ask for a refund..

Update based on owner’s comment. This is not a “vindictive review.” I have no affiliation with any local establishments. Or any establishments anywhere, for that matter. And I don’t have a specific loyalty to any local restaurant. This is a truthful review based on a terrible dining experience. I can’t believe we are the only ones whose food came out one order every 20 minutes or who were told multiple times that they had run out of things, but maybe we were just really unlucky that the cole slaw, broccoli, seafood potato, hush puppies, etc., all ran out right when we arrived to eat (early in the evening, by the way). Complaining about items that we were told they ran out of seemed pointless. But the fact that the owner’s response was that I must be vindictive and then gave me permission to eat elsewhere is a guarantee I won’t go back to this place. Everyone makes mistakes, and a more professional response probably would have wooed me back for one more try and a better review update. I won’t change my star rating based on the response because the food we did get was still good, and the atmosphere was wonderful.I should add that I don’t make a poor review of a small business lightly. I have never left a bad review of a newer business; in fact I think I’ve only left one other review less than 5 stars up till now. And if it had only been one or two things that went wrong on a busy night, I wouldn’t have even left the review. But we all commented on and couldn’t ignore the strangeness of the situation with running out of so many things and the orders coming out piecemeal. I hope our experience was a fluke. I hope this business makes it. I think a good, local restaurant is a great thing, and small business owners are critical to our communities and the overall economy. But I am not going to lie about a really poor dining experience.* * * * * * * * * *Dinner with group of friends. They were out of half the things we tried to order. It was almost like it was a joke. We would order and get, “We’re out of that.” We were told after the first thing or two that they had a limited menu, but no one told us while we were selecting our meals, and we received full menus. If you’re doing a limited menu, put it on printouts or a chalkboard or something. But then some things they just ran out of, like they had them because some of us got it on an earlier order, but the next person’s was missing. If you only want to do crawfish then put out a sign that says you’re only doing crawfish that day.Other than the crawfish, the food took forever, and it came out one person at a time. The first person finished eating before the second person ever got their food. Literally. That’s not an exaggeration. That person finished eating before the next one got theirs. And so on. The meals didn’t come with the things they were supposed to have because they ran out, and we weren’t told when ordering. We didn’t find out until the food came out. (We were still charged full price, of course.) They also got an order wrong, but we didn’t have another hour for them to correct it, so we didn’t say anything.Terrible way to manage a business. There are too many other good places to eat in the general area to bother with such a wreck. Too bad because the food they did have that we finally got to eat was pretty good. Fries and crawfish were good. And the atmosphere is nice. But plenty of other places have good crawfish, fries, and atmosphere.Server was very friendly but either overworked or poorly trained. Never refilled our water. Had to be asked several times for table items (like salt or condiments) before we finally had to go get it ourselves.Won’t be going back.
