I got the 2 piece fried fish with 5 piece shrimp combo. The fish were excellent but the fried shrimp were to greasy, salty and tough. The tarter sauce tasted like mayo with alittle garlic seasoning in it. The french fries were not cooked all the way. The coleslaw was great. Wish I would have gotten just coleslaw and fried fish. I use to love eatting at this place but not anymore.
I ordered the grilled chicken salad and I must brag on it because it was very good! My daughter ordered the grilled chicken and curly Q’s and it was on point also! I definitely will order it again! I recommend trying it!!! Stop by JJ’S when you get a chance they won’t disappoint you!
Really not competition, this is the best place to eat in Jena. These people can cook a juicy burger, fry fish like no tmrw, make a bad a** poboy, everything is top notch. Weve eaten here pretty regularly my whole life and this is the ONLY restaurant in town that has not been a consistent disappointment, its phenomenal EVERY time. You receive an exceptional amount of food for an extremely reasonable price. The decor inside is darling! Super southern and down home.
