We stopped here for lunch during our bayou vacation and the food was FANTASTIC. When we visited, they were operating out of the Nunez Pavilion temporarily while recovering from Hurricane Ida. The food was stellar and the patio seating right on the bayou was beautiful. We hope you guys are back in your regular location soon and hope to visit you there when we return to the bayou...we will definitely be back!

Voleo's is located at a temporary location at Jules Nunez Lafitte Fisheries Market due to the other location being totaled by Ida. Google maps sends visitors a bit past the pavilion, so pay attention.I started with the Creole gumbo. The 2nd best gumbo I've ever had, only after my wife's gumbo.I had the Flounder Lafitte for the entrée. One of the most unique and delicious meals I've had. The serving size was enough to have 2 meals. Comes with fries. The owners sister came up and ordered a roast beef on French. It looked delicious. That'll be my next order.Speaking of the owners, I hung out talked with them for about an hour. Super nice and a lot of cool stories. Voleo himself worked under Chef Paul Prudomme. It is an all outdoor dining facility. Waterfront tables are available but they also do take aways. Call ahead and they can have your order ready.

I've just been to there older location, from before Ida. Uniquely brilliant experience, the feeling of arriving at a party of friends. The food takes time, the setting develops slowly through the entire evening. It's very good.

I now understand why Voleos makes you pay up front. After waiting 65 minutes and having been served 2 salads about 1/3 the size of a regular restaurant salad normally served with a meal, I asked where my wife and my meal was and was told it would take another 20 minutes.I cancelled the order and was refunded $60.00 of my credit card charge of 72.00 , which included a 15% tip for 2 salads and a bottle of water. The lady who took our orders and served us said that they had 20 orders ahead of us , as it looked as if someone was having a party. I advised her had she had the courtesy of letting me know there was an hour and a half wait I would have drove to Coffee & . I am 74 and have eaten at restaurants in Lafitte since high school. I have owned camps since 2002, prior to the last hurricane I would take about 12 people a year fishing 3-4 days at a time ,myself and 3 guys or myself, wife and another couple and we went out to eat. I know it will not hurt Voleos but I will never patronize them again. Can’t wait for Jan’s and Boutte’s to relocate and open .Guess I need to get here before 4:00pm. Jan’s and Boutte’s were friendly and cost less.

May 12, 2022. TWO hours after having paid for 8 meals we still had not gotten our food. We are from out of town and were treated as such. They were clueless on how to process the refund (took another 30 minutes). Was given number to call the next day that just rings and rings to process refund. $272.82 (with a 25% TIP PAID AT TIME OF PAYMENT) for the single worst rr experience I have ever had in over 42 countries including some of the worst places on the face of the earth. I plan on calling the locals to see if I can swear out a police report for theft this was so bad and a waste of all of our time.

This restaurant was the absolute worst!!!! My family went to eat here and we were treated like absolute crap!!! We waited over two hours and watched as other tables were served and left. We wanted to leave but the owners threatened us saying we would get in trouble…but the food still wasn’t ready after two hours. Do no waste your money on eating at this restaurant.

The best seafood ever! Our favorite item on the menu is the Flounder Lafitte. And our server’s are always so polite and friendly. We absolutely love coming to Voleo’s. Definitely worth the drive!

If you're looking for elegance go somewhere else. It's a small place, Maybe 10 entrees but lots of local appetizers, soups, gumbo etc that you can make a meal of without a main dish. And it's really good.

Wonderful Cajun food! Quaint little restaurant tucked away. Five star food for a great price!
