It takes alot for me to return food but today it was bad. The sandwich I order was a Cajun Patty Melt with fries. Fries were ice cold, sandwich only had bacon, cheese, and patty nothing else. I just couldn't understand why they didn't try harder on this. I have eaten here before so maybe it was just late. Hopefully next time it will be better, thanks for my refund.

Chicken andouille gumbo was awesome! Of course, also had some bondin balls. Can't say anything bad about this place. All around a great experience.

First time eating there, were from out of town, but it was great all around. Food was excellent, service was excellent. Would highly recommend to anyone else passing thru of considering it.

I had the shrimp tacos and they were divine. I am added this place to my short list of truly good food, reasonably priced, great service and wonderful atmosphere.

I can’t believe I paid $104 for some cold nasty seafood platters with little fish nuggets, not filets; meat pies; boudin balls and Cajun ragu. The fish in the seafood platter was yuck, my dog wouldn’t even eat it. The boudin balls were mushy. The meat pies were miniature sized like pizza rolls. One seafood platter was $34 because I asked for sweet potato fries. The other was $28. Tried this place once and won’t be back. The server was awesome, the food was not ?. I don’t usually leave bad reviews but I am highly disappointed.
Response: I normally say thank you for your review, but in this case, we didn’t appreciate the call with you cursing out our employee just because you said the platter wouldn’t fill you up. Nothing was said about it being nasty. Just not enough. We put huge portions on every plate. And maybe it was cold because you got it to go because it surely was hot when it left the restaurant.
My response to the owner: I didn’t curse anyone out and I was not rude at all. I simply said the portion size was not enough for the price. When I called about the portion size, we had not even started to eat. Yes, I got the food to go but I do not live that far from your establishment for the food to get cold that fast. I have pictures to prove the portions are not enough. The fish tasted like it wasn’t cleaned and certainly didn’t taste like catfish. If you would please give me a call, I’d appreciate it. This place is amazing! From the minute you walk in, the Staff greets you and makes you feel like family. Danielle was our server tonight and she was very pleasant, attentive and really knows the menu. All the recommendations she made were spot on. We knew we’d enjoy our dinner because Chef Ryan’s food is incredible. Tonight, we tried the onion rings with the “OMG sauce!”, the moist meat pies & our entree was the stuffed flounder, wow! Cajun House & Catering is the place for authentic Cajun food & an incredible atmosphere in Laplace!

Good food and service. I don't have pictures, but I had the grilled shrimp salad, which was delicious, a bit heavy on the salt, but overall, I enjoyed it, and I love they way it's placed in an eatable bowl. There is no need for croutons or crakers.

The jumbo was great, but the only thing remotely warm that came out, the rest was room temp. There were two other couples there when we were there and it took about 50 minutes from when we ordered to get our cold food.

The waitress was nice, but didn’t come by very often.

The food here is ok, nothing special but they were friendly. I was hoping to be blown away but the food needed more seasoning. The boudin balls are pretty good though.
