The food here is delicious every time we come. Today we had red beans and rice with cracklin cornbread…outstanding. Another suggestion is the brisket sandwich with a side of red beans. Whatever you get, you are sure to enjoy it. Although you have to order at the counter, the service is impeccable, so don’t sweat the small stuff.
The smocked sausage is some of the best I've ever had. Person working was very helpful and packaged everything up for my road trip back. I saw it on YouTube years ago and it was 100% worth the detour.
We stopped here because it has good reviews on Google. When you walk in, you order at the counter and they bring it to your table. I had the special which was butter beans with shrimp, a piece of catfish and French bread. We had the headcheese appetizer, and my husband had gumbo. This was our first time trying head cheese.
