I think they are coasting on reputation and rely on locals with few choices. This was the most sweetest red beans I have ever eaten. The pie needed more lemon flavor and they failed to clean the pecans when making the pie as a piece of shell almost broke a tooth.

Pie crusts are store bought, not made fresh. They are famous for the number of pies they sell, not the quality. Simple country food with little flavor but nice size servings.

Everyone is nice, service is excellent. Food is exactly what you want. Pies are the closest thing you can get to grandmas. Never don't stop at Lea's unless it's Monday.

Great sandwich and service. Stopped in over the weekend on a trip to NO and it did not disappoint. We stopped twice!! Great sandwich and also lunch on Saturday was delish. Pork roast, rice gravy and Lima beans. Perfect! Chocolate pie was perfect!
I like coconut pie but the Chocolate pie was wonderful. Great crust.

I've been eating their pies for over 20 years...this past week my husband stopped and bought 3 pies...all 3 were disgusting. Lemon Meringue was all meringue and the color of the custard was odd. Coconut Cream same thing...the darkest, orange yellow I've ever seen with no flavor and all meringue. Pecan pie was fair, but not up to par. What has happened???

I stopped at Lea’s for lunch and the food and service was phenomenal. I ordered several pieces of pie to go as I was beyond full. I cannot decide which of the 4 pieces I liked best! I got back to Texas and realized I left my debit card. Amy to kind enough to mail. This place restored my faith in people going the extra mile. Thank you Amy!

This place is like taking a trip back in time. They serve the best pie, everything is home made. Service is great and the atmosphere as well.

I have a picture as a baby 65 years ago eating pie and the lunch at Lea's. Old time atmosphere, lots of stuff to look at. Kind of reminds me of a cracker barrel restaurant from the 1960s. The pies are absolutely incredible! Lunches are reasonable and good tasting. They are made from scratch. This is an old-time place with lots of history and lots of memories. As a boy traveling from Baton Rouge to Ruston, Louisiana during the early '60s and '70s, my parents would always stop at Lea's in LeCompte, LA, because it was about the halfway spot for the trip. It is still a favorite stopping spot 65 years later. It has been there for 100 years.

Our pilgrimage group from The Minor Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Natchitoches Louisiana stopped here for lunch after visiting Our Lady of Guadalupe in Forest Hill. The food and atmosphere was perfect for us to just sit and visit before we went to our went to our next stop. We will be back!

The place is closed for vacation and there is no mention of it on their website. We traveled a long way to eat there and was highly disappointed.
