A Louisiana legend! Consistently good food - been getting the same ham sandwich here as long as I've been alive. Pies are known nationwide and people drive for miles to get these - great for special occasions. Good place for a Sunday or Saturday lunch. Check it out!
Just finished having lunch there with my wife. The baked ham lunch plate was a perfect sized portion and the ham was juicy and delicious! The green beans and carrots were perfectly cooked and the red bliss potatoes were so tender. My wife’s ham and cheese sandwich was griddled to a beautiful golden brown.
We both got a slice of pie to finish off our meal (lemon meringue for her, bumbleberry for me). Both pies were outstanding!
We can’t wait to come back again!
First visit to Lea’s. The service was outstanding. I did want a little more choices on the menus but that is my problem not theirs. What I had was very good. The red beans have a sweetness because of the ham. It was a great addition to the dish and the waitress let me know about that before I ordered. But what you want to go for is the PIE!!! Had a piece of chocolate pie (10/10) and brought a bumbleberry pie home (12/10). Will pick up a pie on every trip!!
