Southern Classic Chicken

December the 27th 2025 Alexandria Louisiana. I was excited to try it for the first time, I was on my way home to New Orleans from Albuquerque, I was craving some chicken 🍗 while being in Albuquerque for 7 weeks for work I did not find really any good chicken. I went through the drive-thru no problem, The line moved quickly and I got my order, got a 9 piece dark special. Chicken had a very light golden crust and looked very good, I'm that type of person who always takes the skin off and eats it first. Man, I got to say what a disappointment, tasteless, no season, The most bland chicken I've ever had in my life. there was something awe about the chicken It didn't taste like it should have It wasn't because the grease was burnt. honestly I don't think this chicken was very fresh before it was cooked. honestly it was so bad I did not eat the chicken and the crust was just awful 😞. so very disappointing. and I'm a white dude that eats chicken literally three times a week or more .... I have to pull feathers from my feet once a week 😆 .... New Orleans hood 🍗, got seasoning sometime they have burn oil but at least it's got season. Hanks, The Orange Store, Keys Gas Stations, Brothers, I.Y.K.Y.K ! My white brothers and sisters you might like that cuz it ain't got no seasoning, but it's a hard pass of me. It was more 100% more bland than Piccadilly's and you know that's bad, You couldn't taste no salt you couldn't taste no pepper You definitely wasn't going to taste no seasoning. The company's got enough sense not to come to New Orleans cuz they would not be in business very long.

Went thru drive thru and ordered 5 Chicken breasts! Received order and only had 3 breasts and 2 rolls! Took order back in and the girl at counter said well you ordered a 5 piece and you got 3 pcs of chicken and 2 rolls! Showed her ticket and charges and she still insisted the 3 breasts and 2 rolls were correct! Asked for manager and suddenly she decided to give us the other 2 pcs if chicken! Wow

Went to the restaurant at 7:30pm and the lobby was closed. Sign states opened until 10:00pm. Someone opened the door and the manager was mad about it so we left.

Due to lack of options in the area I eat here more than I care to admit. The service is really hit or miss here. I don’t usually care about that because I’m just trying to get in and out quick to go to work. But the food has declined too over time. If the chicken tenders get any smaller you’re just going to have to be honest with the customers and call them nuggets. There used to always be a line out to the road here. It’s clear why I haven’t seen that in a while.

Downgrade from 3 star.
Ordered a 12 piece mixed chicken basket and only got 9 pieces. For a 40 dollar order you'd think they could count.
You had one job.

the food was ok but the restroom and restaurant was too nasty. Very unclean. However the food was ok but not like it was in the old restaurant there. The new location is terrible and they really need to clean up
