The first time we ate lunch during the week and it was excellent. The crawfish cornbread was perfect and service excellent. We made the mistake and went today on Sunday. Although we were there before 11:30, the service was extremely slow. There were less than 10 customers when we arrived after driving from home, 2 hrs away. We waited 10 minutes before being acknowledged for drinks. After placing our order, we waited another 20 minutes for our crawfish cornbread order, which was fine. The dish was way too spicy and we did not get our salads per the menu. We had to flag down our waitress to get tea refills after she walked past us several times. I asked the cashier to discount the meal, less the cost of a side salad $3.99 each, and she was huffy and got our waitress. I asked her to do the same. She said she didn't know we got a salad with our meal but couldn't adjust the bill. I said fine. $44 later and I left no tip, which I usually always do, but didn't today because of the issues. I'm sorry to say that we won't make that trip again.
Had a food allergy and called ahead of time to see if they used it in the seafood boil. Was told no they don’t use it and when we get there my husband gets a boil bag and has a reaction and after we left I called again and asked what specific seasoning they use and both seasonings they use have it in there. On top of that my son and I both ordered a dinner plate that had a side salad and roll supposed to be serviced with the plate and we got neither for our dinners. Forgetting a salad and roll is one thing but ignoring an allergy because you don’t want to go ask is another. Thanks for a night of benedryl.
