Terribly horrible service ! NEVER heard of a sports book closing before all games are finals, then not opening until 12 noon the following day !! Elevators always " Out if Service " ! Rooms average, at best !
Soap still in tub, no lightbulb in lamp, shower or toilet area. No coffee pot in room. Old toothpaste was on counter around the vanities. Bed frame left exposed. Big stains in carpet. Front desk staff was nice but that was the only redeeming quality. Yuck.
I didn’t stay in the hotel lately, but the gaming area is super hot and crowded (last few times I sweated and I don’t sweat easily). Very outdated. They no longer comp good or have great giveaways. It smells like stale cigar smoke, which is the worst smell in the world. We went to Lake Charles at one of their casinos and it was a few minutes longer drive but the atmosphere was so different. It was cleaner and cooler with more options for table games. We’ve been to Paragon probably a hundred times, but won’t be going back. It’s a night and day difference compared to LC casinos. Honestly, I regret the last 99 times we went after checking out the other ones.
I’m in the South Tower. The air condition doesn’t work, the room feels like it hasn’t been cleaned in a long while, and there were no refrigerator or microwave so this ad is misleading. I’ve been here 4 days and the room hasn’t been cleaned once. I asked for a refrigerator and 4 days later, I still don’t have one. The casino has been empty so I’ve not seen anyone win much less playback. I guess they are losing money. Most of the employees look like they are sleeping and look unhappy. The one good thing is that the bed is comfortable.
Horrible experience. Hotel was aware of a large convention, and didn’t prepare for it. Went to check in and rooms were still not ready. Funny thing is they didn’t even ask for my info just flat out told me to come back later. Did that and there were over a hundred others also in the same boat. How does a hotel/ casino not prepare for a convention that they solicited and stated could provide services for. Same reason a lot of organizations no longer use this hotel. This has happened a lot and on more then one occasion. First time back at the hotel since 2018 and hopefully we can talk to the organizers to see about moving it again in the future back to anywhere but here.
Absolute dump! First bad sign: as I am walking up to the registration desk to check in, I overhear a conversation from the desk clerk in front of me, stating that a certain numbered room that a couple has just checked into has a completely soiled toilet that needs cleaning. I figured this is a pretty bad sign, but since I had to attend a conference here, what choice that I have? Check-in went OK. Front desk is polite and efficient. I was given my room assignment and directions to my room. Thank God I checked to see if the TV was functional before unpacking. It was not. I had to go all the way downstairs because when I dial the telephone for the front desk, no one answers the phone , I was reassigned a room and went into that room where the TV did work. However, there was no coffee maker as in the previous room. Once again, I had to call the front desk (no one answers). Eventually over a long period of time I was able to get someone on the phone and ask for , coffee maker, and all of the accoutrements. Other issues: The whole place smells like an ashtray. Most of the restaurants were not opened, although they are advertised as wonderfully tempting places to go eat, but then, when you get here you find out the sad news there’s really only one restaurant open and all of the others are closed except on the weekends. No one informed you of that ahead of time. There were several items in the room that were damaged or needed repair. Nonetheless, I did the best I could to settle in and get situated. I went into the bathroom to take a shower as I have been traveling most of the day to get to this destination. Turn the water on and guess what, no hot water. at this point, I am so overwhelmed by all the problems in this hotel. I’m just not gonna waste time dealing with any more of these people are complaining. This place is a train wreck. So I took a cold shower. I got up in the morning and went to my conference and completed a whole day of training at the conference, and when I return to my room, my room was not made up. No towels no coffee service. Nothing the bed was exactly the way I left it. I contacted the front desk once again, waiting forever for someone to answer the phone. Once I was able to get someone I asked the front desk. Does someone come and make up the room each day? And the desk clerk said no we don’t do that. I asked her what I’m supposed to do about getting towels and coffee service for my room and she said she would figure something out and get it up to me. Who trains these people? What kind of leader ship is running this facility? Do they understand anything about hospitality? If you must come here for such issues as gambling, there’s a Hampton Inn down the road I recommend it staying here will never be an option for me in the future and I don’t recommend you attempt to come here either. It’s disgusting.
The first problem was I had no fridge in the room. I am insulin dependent and had no place to keep cold. I called the front desk to let them know on several occasions and received no help. The bathroom had mold on the ceiling and the stopper in the drain stayed closed. The towel rack was on the floor. The toilet had pee all over the base. I had some cheese dip in one of the restaurants that was really bad. It tasted like plastic. The room has far as the bed and pillows were nice. The pools were great. Just so sad the room had the problems it did.
I stay here weekly due to work. Friendly staff and my room is always clean and very comfortable. Check in and out is very easy. Restaurants are very good inside the casino also. Complimentary shampoo and conditioner provided - rooms have blow dryer also.
Upon entering room we noticed our toilet was nasty and had not been cleaned. Also, the toilet was completely cracked. Totally unsanitary and unable to be properly cleaned. We noticed housekeeping of the issue and left for several hours. Upon returning that night the toilet had not been cleaned or fixed. My husband called the front desk and they were sending someone right away…. Needless to say after 3 calls it was still not done! The next day at 11pm maintenance knocked on the door to come replace the seat. 11pm? Seriously
Very laid back environment and the room was comfy and quiet. The bed and pillows were comfy and I slept well after being in the casino all night. The slots hit for me all weekend! They have a really nice golf course as well and my son-in-law played 18 holes. Very good trip and will return.

Paragon casino can be deceiving when you first enter the place looks very nice; WRONG! I have never seen such a nasty and dirty casino they DO NOT have a shampoo company to clean their carpets in the casino. The hallways were dirty and the bedroom carpet was nasty you could tell they hadn't been cleaned in years. The glass window in bedroom was so dirty and nasty, someone had spilled milk on window and no one cleaned it. Staff were walking around but no one cleaned the elevator buttoms or the elevators. They didny have a contract with maintenance to mop the dirtt floors in the lobby, etc. Just a nasty and dirty casino. My bedroom tables were dusty, the phone didnt work, the alarm clock was broken. DO NOT BOOK a room! Travel to Winstar that is a 1st class casino. We will never return.
THE ROOMS WHERE HORRIBLE. (ANT PILES, EARRINGS FROM PREVIOUS GUEST, DUSTY, CHICKEN BONES UNDERNEATH BED, NO MICROWAVE, NO REFRIDGERATOR. I PAID $408.34 FOR TWO NIGHTS. MATTRESS COVER WAS BADLY STAINED.
I stayed at this hotel 2 nights in Feb 2023. I stayed in an atrium room with a small balcony. The room was musty and dated. When I turned on the water in the dirty bathtub, rusty colored water came from the faucet. I bought my own bottled water to the room and used that to brush my teeth. The toilet did not flush completely and at one point was stopped up. There were two bottles of water in the room that were opened; so I could not drink that. Overall, horrible experience. I am glad that I did not pay for this room, my company did.
This is my third time attending meetings at this property and each time it gets it worse. 1) The non-smoking room wreaked of smoke from the moment I opened the door. 2) When I got in the shower my first evening, I noticed lots of blood spatter along the top inside of the shower curtain. Housekeeping came in gloved and masked to remove and replace it. They could not believe it. 3) I woke up to the smell of marijuana in my room at 630AM coming from a neighboring room. 4) That morning both atrium elevators broke which required me to find the service elevator from the 6th floor. This place should be inspected by the Department of Health. I drove through the night to return home to avoid staying the second night. When I had a meeting with the front desk manager about the situation - she admitted that the place was terrible.
Quick service polite staff
