We had a good lunch. We had a chicken taco salad, steak nachos and child's shrimp plate. It was all good. It was clean and the service was friendly.

The food prices are too high, and the shrimp was greasy

The service is friendly and the food is delicious. This is one of the very few restaurants you can get a good home cook breakfast.
I noticed the manager making sure every customer was taken care of. I've been coming here since I was little girl; and I'll be coming here again every time I visit Marksville, Louisiana.

Need to cut back on the sauce on the buffalo chicken. Others wise everything was good I loved the onion rings.

Ordered 2 shrimp po-boys for $40. One was supposed to have no mayo, no tomatoes, the other only no tomatoes.. they gave us a mayo packet... One packet.. not on the sandwich and not enough mayo to cover the sandwich.. also was supposed to come with a pickle spear .. neither order had one .. not worth their overpriced food!!!!

I used to look forward to coming into town for work and making a stop at Nanny’s—it felt like coming home. The restaurant once proudly showcased the heart of Southern Louisiana culture, with a ready-to-serve line full of comforting, soulful dishes that tasted like something your own grandmother might be cooking in the back.
Unfortunately, my visit today was deeply disappointing. I learned Nanny’s is now under new ownership, and sadly, everything has changed—and not for the better. What was once authentic Southern home cooking has been replaced with generic bar food I could find at countless places around Lafayette.
It breaks my heart to say this, but the charm, character, and flavor that made Nanny’s special are gone. I truly hope things turn around, but as it stands, I don’t see the new version of Nanny’s lasting very long.

I ordered shrimp and grits for 20.99, but only had 4 unpeeled shrimp and the grits had no gravy or sauce and were very unsalted. Not worth the price. The other food they serve is very good, but this was disappointing. Try something else.

Restaurantji Recommends
The food was excellent, the atmosphere was very nice, the waitress here was very prompt & professional and the owner was very informative and truly impressed us by how much he took good care of his customers. We will definitely be back. 😀 👍
I'm sorry I don't like putting business down but I got to say this. When they first opened up after new ownership it was good but not not so good. The food wasn't good at all.Thats all I got to say and for spending over 100 bucks for it could have been way better. So I'm no longer going to nannys to eat.
Eggs was raw French toast was cold, will not recommend
The renovation is amazing! The restaurant looks great. Very good experience from Rafael seating us to Rachel serving us. Everyone was friendly and the food was excellent! Everyone should try Nanny's, you won't be disappointed!

visited with my family for dinner. Got a chicken sandwich; I wasn’t expecting it to come on toast which is whatever but the toast was soaked in butter and looked like they forgot to put it on the grill. it was pretty bland and all I tasted was butter ? unappetizing. the fried shrimp was soggy as well ?
