They hosted an event for the church convention. 6 to 8 buses of teenagers with nothing for them to do and no air conditioning. They should have told the groups this before an agreement was made. Needless to say, no one stayed until 6 pm due to the heat. Heard the food was good though.

A beautiful venue! Gorgeous scenery. We saw alligator and a possum! ? So cute! ? Of course there's mosquitoes, it's on the bayou! ? I didn't pay for a wedding planner, because I couldn't afford it, but I HIGHLY SUGGEST, if you can afford it, to get a planner. This was my first (and only) wedding and I had no idea what was going on most of the time. Everything just kind of worked out at the last moment. The staff was very kind, the food was good, and Heide, who took our reception photos was great! She was very outgoing and had fantastic energy. Also, hire your own DJ or band. There was a switch up at the last moment and some confusion there.

DO NOT give this place your business. If I could give zero stars I would. The owner only saw us a year and a half prior to our wedding when scheduling the event, and then allowed her son to handle the rest. She didn’t show up again until the night of the event. She was extremely rude to us and all of our guests. She did not bring out our grooms cake until asked, she brought up personal matters in front of our guests and it made them feel extremely uncomfortable to be there afterwards. She was very disorganized and made numerous false promises, some that she told us verbally and even some that were in our agreement! Needless to say, our wedding, supposed to be the best night of our lives, I wish we had have spent our money anywhere but here.

This place was really cool and quaint... until the sun went down. At about 8:30 the mosquitos attacked everyone relentlessly... even standing in front of the big fan. Staff was good and the activities were fun. There was even a gator out back. The bugs were impossible though
