Classic neighborhood place. The red beans were unique and I like them, they had a hint of vinegar. My husband had a roast beef poboy that he did not like the flavor of. I liked their made to order fried catfish. Very clean oil and delicate breading.

Roast beef was excellent. Spaghetti and meatballs. Was also great. Their we're only 2 people eating there at 12:45 on a Tuesday. Really surprised by that since the food was so good. I will definitely be back.

Went here for lunch and met a friend from out of state. Had not been there for years. Still has a friendly staff who treat you like family. Superb food at a fair price. These folks have been giving great service for 75 years. This establishment is off the beaten path but a gem 💎 to eat at. Daily specials of hot lunch are worth the trip.

I grew up eating here from the time I was going to school across the street. This is one of those reasons you come home periodically. The original owner Mrs. Jeneau was a treasure. She treated us kids back then like we where her own. Now, Mrs. Nina has kept the atmosphere alive and the original foods true to form. She has has added flavors to the menu and that has made it uniquely her's, as well. I can not go home without getting my weenie sandwich. It's just a must. I have been ordering one since 1960. Don't pass it up. You can thank me latter...
