Waited an hour and 10 mins for 20pcs of chicken.

So I don't complain about much but I went to the popeyes on barateria and I was at the speaker on one of the two drive through. 3 other cars ordered and went around so I figured something was wrong with the speaker so I drove around. I was greeted by the manager saying I cant order at the window and I would have to go back in line or come inside and it was illegal to order at the window. So I said why cant I just order here and pull forward like people do when the order isn't ready. Then pretty much proceeded that they were not going to serve me. So I came to the one on expressway ordered my food right away no issues

Also to add i was in line for 20 minutes at the speaker

Hope this message finds the right people to have popeyes on barateria looked into

Fathers Day, 2025...literally no words. The people behind the counter had zero clue what to do, how to put together an order, or even TAKE an order. They sleepily muddled through, as if it was their first day, with no training, and no desire to be there. No one was in charge, and no one cared. My 2 meal, take out order took 45 minutes, and was still wrong. There were only 2 of us there, and one table in the dining area, with customers! (they came to the counter several times, complaining about their order) Some customers left, before even placing the order, because of the wait, and the back counter confusion. At that point, i didn't even care. I couldn't get out fast enough, and am absolutely over Popeyes.

The chicken was so dry, way over fried and I've seen pigeons with bigger legs , wings , thighs and breast . I've never seen chicken so small before in my life . The last 2 times I ate there were the same way . My wife and I both had the 4 piece mix mild sides and drinks .

Pulled up in drive thru sat for 10 min before oder before me was taken. Was told one moment and no one came back to take order. 3 cars left. No customers inside or in drive thru waiting for food. Employees just standing around. Shut it diwn

Over priced and order was messed up.. they usually are ok, but lately they've been having issues at this location.

UPDATE: wow it has definitely changed since I last visited. The night manager has such a vibrant attitude, she is sweet and very helpful she really was great and her workers were very nice as well. I love the change,even though the prices are quite high, just their energy alone made it a pleasant visit. 5⭐️

Everything was going well until I made it back to work (drive thru order) and noticed that my biscuit was missing in action and that one of my pieces of chicken was mild when I ordered spicy. It was crowded or anything to where they were busy and forgot, or maybe it was just a mistake. I will just have to start checking my order before leaving. I will visit again, and I'm sure the next visit will be better.

Got my order wrong ? I asked for mild and was given spicy. I had to return to have my order corrected, which was inconvenient for me.
