Worst. Service. Ever. I don’t even understand how 3 of the people we were with each went and said we hadn’t gotten a waitress yet… and NOT ONE person came to take our order. Finally someone came and SAT DOWN to take our order and I had to get up and come to her to tell her what we wanted. Zero stars if I could. Ghetto.

We showed up with 30 people. They only had one server and one cook. We decided to stay. The server could have gotten help from the cook since we were the only ones there at3p. But instead. The waitress took everyone’s order then turned them all end. Another option is she could have turned them in per table. We have 3 tables. The entire ordeal told 3.5 hours to order , get food, pay bill. Lastly. I reminded the waitress twice she hadn’t. Brought my fries. All I got was the sandwich. When she came around with the bill she said she took th fries off. I would have liked the fries. They’re not hard to make.

The food was horrible. The red beans were so dry I had to add water to them & they were still disgusting. I tried my mom’s gumbo, it was the worst gumbo I’ve ever tasted. Tried some hushpuppies & they had jalapeños in them, I’ve never had hushpuppies with jalapeños in them, all it tasted like was jalapeño bread, not good. You’d think with all the reviews saying the same thing, they’d make some recipe changes, but I guess I should’ve looked at the reviews before dining here.
Food was just okay but way overpriced. Service was great.

We were disappointed in this visit. We sat at a table for about 15 minutes. No one acknowledged our existence. I went to the register and asked if I could take the menus to the table and did. We sat for another 8 minutes, still nothing. One server continued her at least 20 minutes of conversation with the same table, and the 2 other servers were oblivious. A very nice lady got up and went to the register and had to tell them we had been sitting there with no service. The only nice part of this visit was the band that started playing, and all of the regular patrons were dancing.

While visiting New Orleans. We were looking for something good to eat in the area we were staying. Google sent us here. The food and service were great. I would recommend. The Gumbo is a 10 of 10. I wonder if they can ship. ?
