Quick visit to New Iberia. Tried Kailan's for the first time. Ordered Shrimp Fried Rice, Spring Rolls, Egg Rolls, a Crab Burger, Onion Rings, and a 1/2 Shrimp 1/2 Catfish plate. All was AMAZING. The homemade Onion rings brought me back to my Freez-O days. The fried shrimp and catfish were well seasoned and tasted so good. Everyone loved their order. The Crab burger was a hit. We'll definitely go back. The service was so friendly, the food came out on time, and the prices were right.

We had the 1/2 Shrimp Poboy & 1/2 Catfish Poboy and they were both delicious! Also shared the homemade onion rings & they were also fabulous. We love spicy & these had the perfect amount of spices! It’s not fancy but it was clean & worth the stop! Prices were reasonable! We would eat here again if coming through. The locals said we should try the fried chicken next time as it’s to die for.
Parking: We are traveling with a truck & trailer, fortunately the business next door was closed on Sunday so we parked there. It was just across the street. If traveling in a car plenty of parking.

We were looking for lunch in New Iberia. As it was Sunday, our choices were limited. We Googled the possibilities and liked the reviews for Kailan Seafood, so we stopped in.
I ordered the catfish poboy, and my wife ordered the shrimp poboy. They were absolutely delicious, and the owner and staff were extremely welcoming. Highly recommended!
I just had my first burger from Kailan’s… almost cried tears of joy. Meat was seasoned to absolute perfection. …. juicy, with a touch of delicious charring from the grill. It reminded me of how my dad used to make these homemade burgers. Y’all don’t sleep on this little spot, I’m sorry I did for so long! …will definitely be back!
