GyroHouse Mediterranean

I used to be a vegetarian until I tried their Gyro wrap. Joking aside this place is awesome. Very similar to Olympus, if I didn't know any better the chef might be the same. Will be my go-to place in New Iberia. A+👍

Response to owner: I’m not sure why you think this was about food presentation? The food tasted horrible. Am I supposed to go home with a to go order and come back to tell the chef about his job?? You won’t be in business for long if you think you’re doing fine. You don’t need to worry about my review because I will never set foot in the restaurant again.

The combo plate came with mushy chicken and super dry Gyro meat. I have had Zues, Olympus, Zorba’s and a few other Mediterranean/Greek/Lebanese restaurants over the years, and this was by far the worst. Service was okay not terrible. Place looks like it is not doing well which is unfortunate since we don’t have many options these days in town.

I bought a spicy wrap for $10. It came with hummus; It was cut in half, and there was also salad.
The person who served me was very nice and accommodating. The positive part I have to list is that this is a few bucks cheaper than other places I have tried in New Iberia. The place was clean when I entered. They answered my call promptly.

To note about the food: the bread was kinda hard and not very soft like I prefer. It was thin. The hummus wasn't very thick and the chicken wasn't super flavorful. The chicken was somewhat dry and hard. The portion sizes are about half as large as what you can get for a few dollars more someplace else in Iberia Parish.

The service was great, but the food was just not my preference. Still give it a shot though! < 3

Work right next door and is super easy to just go over and get some lunch. Some of the best food in new Iberia, and the service is top notch. Bossman ,which I’m pretty sure is the owner, working in the kitchen always interacts with his customers and makes you have that friendship with them. Would definitely recommend

Ate lunch here with some co-workers and think having 6 people order may have put them off their standard operating as all of us got food randomly from the order in which it was ordered. No big deal but odd to be first to order and then be last to get food when we all ordered the same thing. As far as the food it was average nothing really special about it regarding the gyro. With the number of Mediterranean places in the area there is definitely some competition that they need to keep up with and think they missed the mark this visit.

Good food and plenty of it. The combination wrap was a little dry for me. Really liked the fried cheese.

This is one of my favorite restaurants. When you first enter, the food smells great. It tastes even better. The portions are very generous, so much so that I actually get two meals from one. The owner is so nice and friendly and is a pleasure to speak to. He noticed my wife wasn't with me the last two times I visited and inquired about how she was doing. Very thoughtful. I highly recommend GyroHouse Mediterranean.

Best lamb gyro ever ! Hummus is amazing Greek fries splendid ! Only thing if they don’t see you at the drive thru give them a honk

Just ordered three chicken wraps. Sat down to eat, mine was dry and had little to no flavor, the other two were dry and didn’t have any lettuce, tomatoes, or onions along with little to no flavor. This will be the last time ordering from here. Greatly disappointing.

First time eating here. My boyfriend got the gyro pasta and I had the gyro plate. Very large portions, lots of meat and it’s tender and juicy, seasoned perfectly! Salad dressing is refreshing and bright, the rice and hummus was equally amazing! We are so glad we tired this place, $26 for both our dinners and we could only eat half. We will be coming back regularly!

One of my top restaurant choices by far!! Food is great and filling!! Great prices , can't beat the guys salad or gyro wraps!! The kabobs are a great choice also!! Hope more people give this guys restaurant a shot and hear their review!!
