Over the last 5 years I've had the opportunity to visit Allen Parrish and stay in Oakdale. I happen to pawn this restaurant and I've had something different each time and it's always fantastic. This time I got the chicken quesadillas the food was out within 5 minutes it was wonderful

wow. i was overly surprised. the reviews of mexican food in oakdale are diverse & often bad, but this place seemed to have the least bad reviews. service was very fast. some of the staff are a bit cold, but our waitress was warm & apparently involved in cooking some the wonderful food. the chips, salsa & extra queso were typical but good. the assortment of condiments in the table basket are incredible!--included cholula & tajin, but a who lot of other things that are not usually found on the table. the beef taco salad was very, very tasty--amazing seasoned beef & lots of sour cream. the soft chicken taco alacarte was too much to eat at the time. took it home. even cold it was fantastic. my friend found the beef fajitas to be too lite on the meat & heavy on the vegetables, but he didnt even use the tortillas. not his thing. the kid with us was to finicky & just had chicken nuggets, but the french fries were not not available that day. he was fascinated by the salt & peeper shakers in the condiment basket that had the spring operated lids. he also OD'd on the tajin & the habanero sause--too funny. the credit card system was down that day. this was inconvenient, but fortunately i had plenty of cash available that day. i was prepared for high prices, but the total bill for 4 was less than $70. pleasant surprise even with a frozen maragrita (nice & potent), they are always 2 for one but did not get a second one. i hope that the french fry & credit card problem can be fixed. the menu was extensive & I want to try some other things later. i will be back. many of the seasonings seemed unique! try this place

This place is fantastic. The food was amazing, the service was top notch, and the atmosphere was great. We had the steak fajitas, tacos al carbon, guacamole, and kids quesadilla. Everything was cooked to perfection and was very flavorful. Our server was so kind and attentive. 100000/10 recommend.

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant. The servers are friendly & most of the time they know what I want to drink or eat before I even sit down. The salsa is amazing, it's my favorite thing there lol. Love it.

My wife ordered shrimp enchiladas and they were unlike any other shrimp enchiladas I have ever eaten. It tasted like the shrimp filling was flavored with Worcestershire sauce and looking at the filling you could see shrimp, lots of onions and a thin brown sauce not a creamy sauce like you would expect from Mexican restaurants here in Texas. I didn't like it at all. That wasn't a Mexican dish in my opinion, not using Worcestershire sauce for sure which was the only flavor you could taste. If you are wanting Mexican food then don't order the shrimp enchiladas.
