Phenomenal milkshakes, ice cream, and old school burgers! The family loved the quaint friendly atmosphere. Really takes you back to a simpler time. 100% recommend!

We ordered food for the whole house, a CHICKEN philly (when we got it, it was steak) my MIL didn’t mind, she ate it anyways. We shared the new brisket pulled pork fries with no tomatoes (tomatoes loaded all over it) I thought, “it’s okay” I tried to pick them off but then while eating them there was barely any actual meat and the sauce the fries were DRENCHED in was just too much. Not a dry fry from the bbq sauce, every single one of them was soggy… the burger was alright, I asked for “mustard, pickle, cheese, bacon, lettuce. NO KETCHUP” the burger came with KETCHUP, no mustard. It was the exact opposite of what we asked for. My fiancé got wings and said they were good, and the curly fries was good as well but other than that It’s like there’s no one to check the food before it goes out, and in my years of experience whomever you have working the window is the last person to make sure your business looks good. So before the customer picks up the food check to make sure it’s right so they’ll be satisfied. I debated not reviewing but after spending $55 and not even being full because the food was wrong I was very disappointed.

I travel from West Monroe to Alexandria often, I pass by many eateries on my commute but one The Burger Barn in Olla La, The Food is delicious, I read one negative review I believe we can all agree someone was having a bad day, I am so glad to stop in at the Burger Barn the food is fantastic the employees are always friendly and nice and greet me as I enter, not your regular fast food experience far from that, just good hometown atmosphere and local hospitality, I remember as a young boy stopping in for lunch at the Burger Barn with my parents in Olla the Food and service was so good then, I'm 62 years old now, I would say The Burger Barn has the right recipe, and yes there are new people I miss seeing Becky, Ms Dolly and others but never forgotten, wish there was a Burger Barn in West Monroe Burger Barn & Staff Thank You! I used to drive all the way from my hometown to this one just to eat at the burger barn. It was so good ..until I up and decided to go back down there and to no surprise there was all new workers. I ordered 2 club sandwiches with fries and the coat was 43.90 and I took pictures of what our food looked like…needless to say , I had to call Johnny’s Pizza after I left there so we could get something to eat?

I came by here a couple hours below closing. I had been curious about this spot for years.I was not overly hungry so decided on a shake to go.1. The music on entry really caught me off guard - like an emo prog rock? That's a plus for me even though I didn't recognize the band. It was definitely unexpected in this area.2. The shake was delicious. I will hopefully try a burger on my next visit to the area.3. The only negative is nobody knew I entered. Maybe the entry most use is on the opposite side, but since I'm not from the area I wouldn't know this. I walked to the other end of the counter so I was seen and a young woman came to take my order and fix my shake. Her attitude makes me think she selected the music since she did not seem happy to serve me. LolOtherwise, I would still return.
