The Worst Chicken place ever. I don't know who they are paying to write some of the reviews I've read. I live within two miles of the Tioga store. I used to eat there when it was Light House Chicken, and it was pretty good. But since it became Darrell's, I've eaten there three times and each time I said I would never go back. They mention on their ads that they make the dirty rice. The first time I tried it you could pour it out of the container like raw rice, no moisture at all and no spice. Totally uneatable. The chicken has no spice not even salt. The second time I went there to pick up chicken for the family they told me to drive around the back where I sat for a long time while other customers drove around me. Finally, a worker came out to smoke and noticed how long I had been there and she said she would go check on it. She came back and said it will be a few more minutes; I still waited several minutes. So recently I thought I would give it one more try. The service was faster because it was way after lunch rush. The chicken thighs were almost unrecognizable. They must be using no.2 grade chicken or something. It looked like it was butchered by a blind man. Still no seasoning and the fries tasted weird. This place is poor quality all the way around.

Stopped in on our way back to Texas. Hands down the BEST customer service I’ve ever experienced!!! Charlene is a KEEPER, don’t ever lose her as an employee!! I will definitely stop again and it’s all because of her!!!

Just left the McAuthor drive location went through drive thru made order ask how long wait since it was long line they said “10min” ok we finally get to window 15 minutes later and they ask for money we ask “was it ready before we payed” she said Yes. We paid and she comes back about 3 minutes later and ask us to pull up it would be another 12 minutes!!!! Told her to just cancel and refund our money. She then comes back to window 5 minutes later with money and ask us we were driving away I realized she short changed me 1.00. Call back they put me on hold and never came to phone!!!!! Second bad experience with this location!!!!!! Never Ever Again!!!!! People please take caution and Avoid this Alexandria location!!!!

I just left from there and I ordered the Large Seafood Platter with a Large Rice Dressing. I ordered my food according to the receipt at 1:11. It was almost 30 mins before I got my food and the order was incorrect. They charged me for the Small Platter. When I told them about the issue, they told me to go back through the Drive-Thru to pay for the rice and they would give me the rest of my order. I ended up paying more due to them charging me for the Large side that I asked for in the first place. SMH...So, as I'm driving home, I taste the fish (which was piping hot by the way) and it tastes like dirt!! I taste the shrimp and it also tastes like dirt!! Like they fried dirty food!! The rice tasted and smelled like fish!! I had to throw everything away because it's making me sick...Overall, I'm disgusted by the food and the service. I'll never go back there again. I knew I should've went to the location in Alexandria. Waaay better quality food and their service is top tier!!

The staff was very friendly and polite. Their burgers are pretty good, or at least those I have had were. Although Darrell's as a restaurant has kind of bland chicken, it's usually a generous portion for the price and is fresh.

My food is always fine regardless of whether i call it in or not, but i clarified to Miss Lilli on the phone i wanted a vegetarian hamburger , usually don’t blame people but never had an issue with yall putting a patty on it . I told her everything i wanted on there. 🙄

If you are looking for good fried chicken then stay away from the place. Very poor sizes on the sides and even the chicken was small and mostly batter.

The food is good but my only issue is that the prices are totally different from online and inside restaurants , an employee says to me " well it's Darrell's" and I said well they still need to correct the prices regardless

ordered 2 burgers with fries hubby picked it up checked bag only 1 burger so he went back in and they made another but the patty was so tough it was like chewing leather also got 2 chocolate shakes it was the color of an off white and did not taste chocolate at all they used to be so good but the last few times its been horrible so we are done will be dining elsewhere from now on

Don’t go Darrel’s in Tioga after 8:50. They have shut down and the kids have their friends in there and you can’t order any food. They need to update their hours to 8:30 close.
