I suppose it's about expectations. Reading descriptions and reviews here, we expected a restaurant that carried Cajun cooking. This is a tiny market with a little fried food behind glass and a few tables so you can eat in if you aren't doing takeout. They sell domestic macro beer, too, along with soda. My fish basket was, in fact, prepared fresh. It included cajun fries and something sort of akin to hushpupies. There were no greens or fried okra available on the day we visited. My wifes chicken ame straight out from under the glass. All of the food was OK, but it wasn't special, and wasn't even particularly flavorful - hard to imagine for cajun food, I know. The sauces on the yable were all pretty much tasteless as well. On the positive side, the place is clean and the people there are very nice. I think the prices are high considering what you are getting. All that said, the food is fine if it's what you want. I just want you to know this isn't a restaurant serving Cajun cuisine out in the Louisiana countryside. It's better than fast food, but it isn't special.

We had the best burgers here and the service was so friendly. Hubby's voodoo burger was huge. My patty melt was perfectly seasoned and also big. We'll be back!

The Voodoo burger is awesome.
The double meat burger was so big it took me 3 days to finish it. Also the cajun fries were seasoned nicely. They do a good job in this place. Y’all be good!
Steak on bun with cheese and pickles. Never had nothing like it.
Good food but really pricey even on the deli food who wants to pay almost 4 bucks for a piece of smoke sausage

Can never count on them to be open regular hours - don't answer the phone - no way to operate a business. Not the first time.
I love Big Dups Kitchen. The staff and owner are super nice!! If your in plain dealing you should check them out! They have GREAT HOT food And beer and cigarettes. What else does one really need. Y'all come see em. Come hungry and leave happy.
I go to Big Dup's 5 days a week on my way to work. They are just what our small town needs for good food, and friendly folk
