Perfect local eatery! We ate here 2 of the 4 days we stayed in the area. Both times we came in, we could see the local folks enjoying their meal and friends, and atmosphere. We were made to feel like family too. We had shrimp and crawfish boils, étouffée, stuffed crab, and soft shell crab and it was all so good. It was southern comfort food, local good food, small business, great atmosphere. I get a little aggravated at northern people saying their crawfish/shrimp/crab were not done because they couldn't dissect it and eat it as fast as the local folk. Peeling and eating the shelled food takes practice. If they never did it and can't it's operator error, not the crustaceans or restaurants fault, LOL. As a northerner we had to get lessons ourselves and we are still C+ peelers.....I would recommend this local business. If it takes some time to get in - it's because they are a really good place to eat. Give them a try, you won't regret if you have the right attitude.

They lied about the soft shell crab being local. No horns on the crab…maybe they really don’t know 🤣 they also charge just as much for a water as a drink, and won’t tell you when you order

Went here to eat crawfish and alligator. Here from Wisconsin and never ate it before. Crawfish was very hard to peel apart, I watched people eat them before and popped right apart. These wouldn’t budge. Well the alligator was awesome, corn nuggets were good also. Waitress was young and was decent. I did ask her if the place was open earlier today and see if yes then I told her there was a head of a crawfish on the floor under a table ahead of us. She looked and laughed and said oh yea. Then walked away. Never did pick it up and then seated people at that table after she knew the head was laying there. Young and dumb I guess.

We got there went in and was seated and then know one waited on us for 30 minutes only because I said something!! Then we was ask if we was seated and by who!! Then waited another hour for our food hubby got his boiled shrimp at 6:40 pm and I had to wait another 15 mins for my shrimp poboy!! The food was good , they need better servers

Me and my wife's favorite place to eat anytime we are near Port Allen/Plaqumine. Food is always excellent. Do wish we could enjoy the back patio more often, but due to snakes/Gators, it's closed often. But hey that's what you get on the
Fish was sower, soft shell crab with spoiled, stuffed shrimp was horrible. Fried shrimp was cooked in burnt grease. Will never go back. Plus cost 57.00. Advice go to another place.?

Loved the food, atmosphere, friendly service and prices. Unless I missed something, it seems all the side dishes are a la carte. Highly recommend the crab burger and oysters. A blessing to have the business servicing that area.
